But I will also say our data is showing RISING values on the 2, 3, 5 year old Tractors/Combines/Sprayers as well. Nearly as Hot. Just yesterday on MN farm auction a '17 JD S680 combine with 742 engine hours sold for $347,500. HIghest auction price on S680 in 3 1/2 years, 3rd highest auction price ever on S680 sold with no heads. The biggest issue driving used values HIGHER is the unprecedented tight supply in the used market. Exact same as with used PIckup Trucks and cars right now. Never been like this before. So very strong buyer demand + super tight used supply = current reality...rising used values

@@machinerypete, yes the shortage is a major factor. With the hatred of DEF by farmers, I'd say that it is a minor factor.

@@machinerypete I see two sweet spots right now. The one you can have, you get to touch, taste and feel it, even though your a really capable candidate for new equipment if the deal is right, you choose the known. Then the pre DEF crowd.
