I guess the small(er), and therefore lighter front wheels are simply to reduce weight, to keep withing a certain weight class, since for traction, one must have weight, as per the drag racing cars.
Nope. Totally wrong. It puts the nose lower to the ground making it less prone to raising up during peak torque. Good try though, i mean you pointed out the absolute most obvious reason why but if you had thought about it more, most likely youd have realized that weight in the front was more needed than less weight thus throwing out your laymens reason for smaller tires on the front.
@@JM-yx1lm So there are no weight classes or restrictions, or are there?? Btw I am and was well aware of the need for weight out front(as per "funny" drag racing cars), and as far out front as possible, to provide the maximum leverage or moment against the against overturning moment caused by the torque applied by the rear wheels, and yes rotating the tractor slightly forward about the rear axle will bring the weight fractionally forward. However the mass of the relatively set-back and unneeded 4WD front axle and wheels would be better replaced by out-front mounted weights, or utilized elsewhere within the build, imho.
Anybody can answer my question.. (Neat video by the way!) On the front suspension, are those shock dampers? Or are they much more then that? As they look like hydraulic rams/cylinders... Or is this a system like off road rigs use on their shock dampers, that have a remote air over oil charge reservoir, to help with roaming ,or rather ,anti-foaming of the dampers oil ,and cooling action, just simply more volume of oil.... Brings these tractors clearly are built heavy and strong, that the front shock dampers need all the help they can get, even if it is a technological direction, vs, just install 12 dampers on each corner, lol ,or by mounting the biggest damper they can find/manufacture? Or also, might these be hydraulic cylinders for a ride height control for the front? these are likely simple and common knowledge for farmers, but, I am a city boy, and have to go out of my way to see equipment like this, of which I do enjoy doing, but nobody there to answer my millions of questions when I am at service and sales and salvage locations of said type of farm equipment... I wish I was born a farmer, instead of a city boy... I can't stand the city life, I can't stand the busyness of city life!! I wonder what it would be like to get done with a days worth of work, and sit on my front porch with my wife, and hear nothing but the sounds of a farm, while drinking an ice cold glass of lemonade, on a hot summer day..... Be what I have to look at how in my porch ,cars flying 45 mph, motorcycles doing 40 mph, but sounds like 2 million mph, even during the city night, it is still noisy... Sad part of this ,I know, brings I didn't grow up a farmer for my beloved USA, I would ruin a farm and would be a catastrophic failure to the generations of farmers of the farm I tried to make work... Your thoughts were right, these hydraulic cylinders are used as shock absorbers, they are connected with nitrogen bubbles on each end BUT you can also lift and lower the tractor in the technician mode (idk how I should translate it) which makes it easier to get the tires off and repair something/do a service
We have a john deere 6r frontloader and we have water in the rear wheels for weight and counter ballast when using the frontloader. And when we use a tractor for pulling the sled we sometimes use water in the wheels
justastudent of the world it is, if you look closely you can still see the parts turning, only the shafts are removed to prevent the front wheels from assisting lol
nicolas demannoury The owner of this tractor has mental issues. He suffers from Bigfrontwheelophobia. It’s a condition that causes people to fit really small front wheels to their tractors. Please get help before it’s too late.
