Do other people also have the "plow pan" problem? I am from South Africa and we have sandy soil but with high magnesium and some clay. It is also a dry area so the soil can be overly wet after rain to dry dust if it is midsummer in just a week. The smearing action of the plow in wet soil creates a layer underneath the loose soil that can get so hard that plant roots bend over in a U-shape and cant go deeper. This then requires deep ripping to break up. In dry areas where the less you need to work the soil to preserve moisture and saving the big fuel expense the better this becomes an issue.

Why do the Danes work their ground before they plow it?

All that 10 minutes of plowing with a rollover plow and not once did we see it rolling over. smh

Why do they plow such a ready to plant and clean field? Do they have too much fuel to burn?

That ground that shallow even my 4020 would pull that plow.

Inthink my truck could pull that plow through that clean land just as easily.

A bit tot big of a tractor forum that plow in those Sandy souls, a 25 tot 30 Hp/bodywarmer is more than enough

150 HP tractor is plenty to pull that plough on flat dry ground
