JOHN DEERE 9R 440 Tractor 

It's always great to hear Matt' perspective on anything. He's out there day in and day out so should have some excellent feedback/opinion based on real world experiences. I appreciate you always getting with these farmers so we can hear their thoughts.

This is my favorite tractor. I'm usually a fan of old Soviet or polish tractors, but this one tops my list. It has this sexiness about the way it looks and moves which is hard to define. Anyway, I live in Delta County, CO, and someone here has one. About the time this video was posted, I was driving down the road to town and saw one doing some fall tillage after a corn harvest, just like in the video. Here, It's High Desert, and so always dry. There was so much dust plume kicking up and the thing was moving so fast as I drove down the road, I only caught it by the 9 series badge on the side of the hood. We don't have fields here as big as other places, and so you don't usually see tractors this big out here. It was a pleasure to see it tilling that field and knowing someone out here can afford to field something like that. Thank you for your vid! This is probably my fav tractor of all time.

I don't hear so well, but thought I heard a sound coming from the hydraulic system when a turn was being made. Not sure if that is good or bad for a new machine. Hope it wasn't cavitation. Thanx for the video.😃

Hello! Increased power due to efficiency or just more fuel input?

Since they are pushing fuel savings accross the board with their new line ups. Do the new 9r's also try to stay at that 1900 RPM range like their new x series of combines do? I just noticed Matt comment that his new 9r has a bigger motor than his 9420 did last year is why I ask. So if they have a bigger displacement a guy could get away with safely tuning it up to that 500hp without worrying about the extra load on the motor. Of course you'd most likely void your factory warranty doing so. And probably wreak the DEF system for the exhaust which probably costs $30,000 to replace the entire exhaust. I don't think the average person stops to think what companies running these big machines are actually spending to operate just the new def systems. Take a look at an operation like Billy's that has what? 8 combines? 8 big 400 to 600hp tractors. And 5 smaller support tractors with $20,000 def systems. The guy is spending $580,000 on just exhausts sysyems. Smh

Only question why don't they run stock stumpers on the front to protect those expensive tires from those hard corn stocks?

How do you ever pay for that tractor?

Tractor is under very low power grid it could pull at least twice the width

Why didn't they get weights on the wheels this time any special reason or just didn't come on it

JD needs to spend more research into fuel economy, this new model only gets 3% better than outgoing model? Diesel might be $10/gallon next year.

These new cabs are ok, I still like a small window you can pop open for a little fresh air from time to time.
