Just finished fixing my grandfather's mower thanks to your video. It looked like a easy job, thanks to RU-vid it helps me visualize repairs before starting them. Thanks again.
Great question. There were several parts I didn't use. The white accumulator, a black plastic "throttle", a couple of screws, a plate that might hold the throttle cable and several hose clamps. Since it's a universal kit it came with parts for multiple applications of that type engine. I did a one for one replacement of the parts and added in the fuel cut off valve which I use every time I run the mower.
Please review the video again between 6:50 and 7:15 == at 7:02 the throttle is reconnected and at 7:10 the two governor connections are hooked up. If you need to reconfirm which rod is connected where, look around 3:08 at the old carb before removal or freeze / slow the play between 7:02 and 7:10. There is only one place to reconnect the wire at the bottom of the carb on the electrical connector. I did not show the actual reconnection, but you can see it connected at 11:33 and it was loose below the carb before that time. Hope this helps.
Haven't had to replace the starter. Also haven't tried to short circuit the seat switch as my grandkids use the mower so it's an important safety issue for me.
@@jamielynch4618 Not really. I left the fuel pump attached to the shroud and lifted the shroud from the front and propped it up with a wrench. You can see the fuel pump attached to the shroud at 2:09 in the video.
