Thanks for posting this. I had a 1928 model D with double steel wheels. I probably still have that booklet somewhere. I miss the simplicity, the ease of starting with two hands around the flywheel, the massive unbreakable axles, the shear power and the pop pop sound out of the straight pipe, not to mention the sparks and flames at dusk. It nearly killed me a couple of times as it had far to much traction relative to the front weight, so it lifted up quickly and with no ROPS = recipe for disaster
