John deere R 36 degree cold start 

With the little pony motor style start you could turn it over till it runs out of gas If you wish in the cold weather the longer you let it go the easier it starts

@@nickpopelka Had no idea this model uses a pony motor and nothing was said about one. More used to seeing them on larger engines.

@chuckg2016 the model R was the first diesel tractor deere made and came with a pony engine sure is a interesting machine for sure
