By restoring that tractor like you did you extended the life of a hard working long lasting piece of tractor history. “ They just don’t make them like they used to” I can tell from working on one myself
The addiction is real with these garden tractors.. Started 6 months ago and now I have a 140 h3, 214, 317, and a 425. Hoping to pick up a 332 one day. 🤙
Looks great! Tractor came out looking awesome. The cupholder idea I'm gonna do on my 332 as well. I'm gonna add some washers and make a bracket that sits up from the paint an comes from the fender bolts on the seat. That way it's low enough to miss the seat and doesn't mark the paint up vibrating around mowing the yard.
You did a great job on the 332 desil. I am trying to get one of them running that’s been sitting in my grandmothers dilapidated garage. My other project currently is a case 444 that’s been sitting outside for 30 years!
For wheels, its a lot easier to use a trash bag. Been doing it for decades. Deflate, break bead, cover with bag, pull on center of bag for the radius, cut off the radius, pull over hub, 100% covered and full rim access. Couple mins.
Awesome, I have my father-in-law’s ‘85 332. I use it all the time year round. I’d love to have it restored to that condition. BTW, skid the cup holder on that beauty.
They are incredible machines! Just takes a little time to get them back into quality shape. Also, that's one vote for keeping the cup holder off! Thanks Brian
Another way to keep paint off the rubber, liberally apply Vaseline on the rubber. Paint, let it dry, wipe it off. The key is to put a LOT of Vaseline down, the rubber will absorb a lot of it. Also don't let it sit for too long, once the paints dry, remove the Vaseline.
Ya Know Something ?? We Don't Care about your Boat or your Rusty Van ,or your waterskiing ability !! We Just want to SEE the Tractor !! You can Always tell a persons Arrogance & Ego by the Ratio of Time with the camera on them and not on the project !!!
Make sure all the injectors are working. They are expensive. Look under the tractor and make sure there is a belly screen without it the radiator gets clogged and they have a tendency to over heat. Then check the cooling fan if it is wore down pretty good from rubbing on the shroud the motor mount isolators are compressed and you have to either shim them with big washers or buy new ones which are expensive. Other then that just normal wear items you would expect with an older tractor. Best of luck finding one. I love my 332
We went through the fuel system and replaced lines, fittings etc. Some electrical work was completed but overall the engine ran great with a little maintenance.
Meh..nothing mechanical. Picked one up for 600 bucks. Add 400 for what you did. No rebuild? No complete breakdown? Polished turd sir. What a shame. You could have treated her right. Still appreciate the video.
Comepletely get it! The Yanmar may need some tune up in the near future which would be great to show. However you can’t argue with a good lookin lawn tractor like this! We love these older John Deeres.
