Good score. I like this platform as it is still a modestly sized machine but has 4x4 capabilities. I feel the lack of 4x4 is a great limiter of earlier garden tractors for a lot of implement work. Looking forward to this series.

I want to ask a question, i recently bought a tractor like yours and the seller said the hood grill had been melting. It didnt over heat, no radiator fluid had been used. Would you think the muffler needs to be replaced? He suggested i start with a water pump or head gasket? That sounds pretty extreme if it doesnt overheat.
you either rich or JDs are dirt cheap where you're at. You keep getting more and more, haha. Here in NJ people think they got rusty (green plastic) gold. I make good money but cannot afford what they're asking here for a decent looking 318, forget X series.
Just got a x585 with a loader but don't know how to raise and lower the 3 point hitch with the loader on and I have an engine light on,how do you check the codes

Yep, the same... The Kawasaki engines are really good, and the new water pump/gasket fix is pretty simple. I bought a shop manual for the 4xx models when I got my 445. Makes things much easier.
