Great video as usual. I could watch you do that for another hour or so. Thanks very much for the video. I think I just might get one of those tooth bars for my bucket. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to the next one.
Thanks for watching! Have the loader quick-attach opens the door to all kinds of possibilities ( forks / grapple) . I don't know if you saw my video on how I did mine or not but here is a link to it : --> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1HWDIQCIhAE.html It works very well!
Always a pleasure watching your videos. I was just wondering if you thought about building a custom trailer. You obviously have the knowledge and tools to do so. Anyway thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching and your comment. I do have a all terrain multi-purpose design rolling around in my head that will also incorporate a walking beam suspension. The big thing that I'm looking at is some sort of brakes for it so that when it is full loaded it will be safe to go down any sort of hill.
That’s a very nice set up you got there. I have a 455 and it’s a beast Of a garden tractor. I see you use a joy stick to control the loader. Did you mod that your self? Cause if I recall it right the garden tractor loaders are controlled with the to hydraulic levers on the dash. Nice vid
Thanks for watching and your comment! Yes, I did add a joystick controller, another 3 spool SCV and a few more hydraulic outlets. See this video of mine to see what I did if you are interested -- > ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-14aVgXsjj04.html
I also have a X748 Ultimate with the 45 loader. What toothbar are you using? What size is the bucket...48” ? I’ve looked into a couple toothbars online but not sure what would be best. Thanks for the video! Cheers
Thanks for watching. The tooth bar that I'm using for my 48" bucket is from Everything Attachments but a lot people really like the "Piranha" Tooth Bar. It seems to be a good all around tooth bar. It came out after I purchased mine so I can't comment on how well it works.
I am getting a x758 soon and was wondering if you know where to find a 45 loader since Deere doesn’t make them anymore? I have seen aftermarket loaders for sale by would prefer the 45. By the way, did you have to install a different pressure relief valve on the x748 to protect transaxle when using loader?
Thanks for watching and for your query. A 45 loader from the previous X700 Ultimate series will fit on a X758 BUT you will need to manufacture a custom mounting bracket for it. The newer X700 Signature series doesn't have the square holes in the frame for the cross mounting tube as the previous series did. See this link for details on the required mount:--> www.mytractorforum.com/threads/45-loader-attachment-for-signature-series-x7xx.1335193/#post-12333181 A good aftermarket loader that directly fits the X758 is made by Compact Tractor and Components (CTC). Link to the loader is here:--> compacttractorandcomponents.com/collections/john-deere/products/ctc-model-x4750-front-end-loader-1 Fairly food reviews on this loader. Yes, you will need to add a pressure relief valve to the transaxle when you add the loader. Most people shim this valve to 1350 to 1400 PSI to get better lift performance when using the loader.
@@X748SE thanks for all the great information! I did see a detailed drawing for the brackets that would be needed for the 45 to fit the x758. Trouble is just finding a 45 loader! I saw the ctc loader and it looks good. Have you seen the little buck loader? I am sure it is not the quality of the 45 or the ctc but the price is attractive.
@@jamesmabry2261 I took a look at the Little Buck/Bull Loader (LBL). The bucket looks a lot smaller than the JD 45 bucket and the top of the bucket is missing which I feel would "stiffen" it. The mounting of the LBL takes a bit of work and seems that you may need to have a solid and even surface to do so. It also looks like the most of the "lifting" weight will be placed towards the front axle rather than spread out between the front and rear axles due to the way the lift cylinders are mounted/angled. These are just my first impressions.
Thanks for watching and your comment! It took a few trials and errors to get there but my current version and configuration of 17P is working out very well for me. I can pretty well load it up to the max and the hydraulics can dump it quite easily.
