Always brings tears to my eyes. My Mother's family was from Clarksburg W VA and they were the most family centered and loving people you could ever know. Italian Americans who were so country. Love all around. I was just a little guy but that love still is still with me to this day. They're all gone but they'll always have a place in heart forever. Fishing trips to the river with my Uncle, nights at Rosie's deli with the WHOLE family, like 40 people, kids running around and so much food. I was so lucky and blessed. So very fortunate. And so, so grateful.

John Denver: fabulous musician, hilarious comedian, a great actor (“Oh God!”) who always played himself, and a genuine friend among friends, just like you’d think. He was a unicorn and there was nobody like him. I was just in Harper's Ferry WV on vacation. There is a pub and grill called Almost Heaven there and you're surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah River converges with the Potomac River. The town embodies this song perfectly. It felt like home to me, I didn't want to leave. I've been there several times. First time I spent a few days there. Usually I took day trips. I highly recommend a trip there.

Been working away as a pole dancer . Nothing fancy 5 pounds in the pot type stuff ..but helps to get me through university for my degree in eithics. Anyway was heading home to my aunts in some guys van and he played this and it made me smile because I never listened to country music before and I'm glad he gave me that ride or I wouldn't have heard this song ..when I git there I put it on the you tube and played it a few times and it's so nice

This song makes me think of my roommate in college. He was from Osk Hill, West Virginia. Often we’d drive three hours to hang out with his family and friends back in West Virginia. Good memories. However, my best memory is when this good ole’ West Virginia boy led me to the Lord. This Baptist boy shared the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ wherever he went. When I surrendered my life to Christ, it changed everything. I’ll forever be grateful for this dear friend from West Virginia. Though flawed, I am blessed to travel throughout the United States preaching the life changing power of the gospel. For many reading this, to come home is to surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ.
