During Dr David Livingstone's Missionary journey's/explorations that part of the world was called "DARKEST Africa"_ I wonder why???

Have you heard the gospel proclaimed on the TV commercials, because I certainly haven't? It's all about give, give and give. Have you ever thought that it might be God's judgment to allow famine & poverty upon the nations of Africa & India for their gross idolatry?

I agree God's permissive will v His directive will. Just read the book of Job. God is Sovereign and always will be. He set the bounds for nations Acts 17:26. Our Government and 'Churches' (I use the term loosely) should be providing for the needs of Australian's FIRST & then if there is a surplus, and only then, start providing for Africa!

I don't understand what you mean. I can't see how John Dickson is twisting scripture.

I never said Africa was predominantly Christian. I said it has a 'large Christian population.' I'm not denying that God is allowing this evil to occur, i'm just saying that i do not believe he is instigating it; He permits it.

Well obviously the way someone else sins is going to look more 'darker' than that of their own sins. I just can't believe that you are actually asserting that God is bringing famine and poverty upon these people, especially considering that Africa has an incredibly large Christian population, because of their sin when we in the west are just as guilty of sin. It is naive and reprehensible to claim that the Western World are less sinful and less worthy of a similar punishment.

Acts 1 to 7 the Jews are waiting for Christ's imminent return, that's why they sold everything they had! Dickson doesn't understand the book of Acts-don't twist Scripture in order to promote your One World, One Religion Antichrist globalism.
