John Farnham interview on The Steve Vizard Show. Broadcast on 2nd October 1990. There were two songs performed live during this interview. I'll post them later.
great interview. Political correctness has ruined Australia. John shares his life experiences which is an Anglo thing. Who will carry the mantle for John ??
@@zetacrucis681 I could listen to his interviews all day🤣 (well, listen to his voice all day, then his interviews) should be the right order lol sadly yes, globally underrated!!!
Everything is way too PC now. Can't say this, can't say that, we're not allowed to express ourselves anymore. I'm an Aussie that moved to the USA in 2013. It's madness over here. I want out of here asap.
I know that Steve Vizard ended up in some legal shit in the early nineties, and he kinda disappeared from TV after that, but exactly what happened, because I was too young back then?
Two absolute professionals with the quickest whit and comic timing in the business. This is without a doubt one of the best interviews I have ever seen. This should be a must see for any aspiring interviewer or interviewee. This is pure entertainment.
Wow, I remember watching this very episode on TV live 30 years ago. I had gone to a Tommy Emmanuel gig and he mentioned to me that he'd contributed to the album. I think he's actually listed on the chain-reaction credits as well. I love John's vasectomy story. Amazing to think that this interview is now part of an archive that represents the heart and soul of Australia's musical history. Thanks for uploading it.
Should any music lover want to know and understand-0 how it is this man became a true Australian legend-what's John Farnham's interview on the syeve vizard show 1990-every person from every other land that dares to come here must understand!-how it is you become a legend of the most best country in the whole world.
My favourite period in history, 1986 through to 1991. Just fun no BS television. You couldn't do this interview today without a load of snowflakes getting triggered. What a sad existence we have now.
Completely agree! I went to the States in the early 90s and watched Letterman there...I was appalled that Vizard's show was a carbon copy even down to many of the mannerisms. Totally lost respect for Vizard! I watched this for John...aussie legend and I wish him well.
Huge props to the lads in LRB for taking John onboard. Without them John would've faded into obscurity. Let's be brutally honest Australian radio absolutely sucks.
It's a real shame he never had a good writing team around him. Aside from that one song, he's churned out nothing that anyone has heard of outside of Australia. Wasted talent imo.
Wow "churning out" songs for global record companies to make money out of, that's the best way to exploit talent is it? Instead bringing joy to your own audience on your terms? Interesting.
