Greetings from Bangkok, Thailand. I grew up with your music England Dan & John Ford Coley. And I've been listening to your works until now after 47 years. Thank you for the music and tremendous talents. LOVE YOU.
I really find it difficult to understand the many negative comments. JFC is 74 years old and still performing. One without the other, there'd never be the harmony we loved then and now. I still listen to their music often.
A couple of simple, but gorgeous verse & chorus….. such a great/iconic pop/love song. Sorry Nashville. You sold your soul(and ours)for cheap change. Like most things pre digital, there’s are stark difference between then and now. God bless you Seals. 👏🏼🎯💥❤️
The original power ballad. Replace the acoustic guitar in the chorus with electric power chords and you have every power ballad of the 80s. This was the template.
I'm not sure what to call it either BUT...want a great substitution? Play the great chord George Harrison played as the intro chord for "All I Gotta Do" (E11#5 or you could call it F#min9b5) which consists of these 5 notes: E G# C F# A . Of course you'd probably want to move the intro E major chord into second position. Try it...it works :-)
It’s sad that he doesn’t help right now (singers...another guitar player)! This song was made to be all that it is because of background vocals and electric guitar
That’s wrong, if Dan was singing this song alone you would say the same thing. The fact of the matter is they complemented each other well. If you take any integral part of any group out they won’t sound the same, but each person brings something to the table.
What really sucks is your comment. The guys 74 years old and still performing. He has more talent in his toenail than you will ever have. Dan Seals was a great singer, and left handed guitar player but one without the other would make those songs incomplete. Together they created songs thst have stood the test of time.
