John Frusciante is one of the only musicians who truly fascinates me. His playing is so emotive and I think his performances are as pure as any I've ever seen. It truly comes from his heart and it's beautiful.
He's like a hopeless romantic, yet he manages to melt us with his awesome solos. I really love John Frusciante. He's a whole new level of character for such a talented musician.

@@serkansen0190 if you still don't know Simon & Gurfunkel music, i would suggest you from the heart to discover them, starting from their first years, eg the kraft music hall concert, where Gurfunkel, if i remember correctly gives a terrific live version of this song. And they both give a raw, touching and great proof of their artistic soul. Then you should absolutely see and listen to the "concert in central park"from '81 (i guess), what a stunning, magical night, atmosphere, Music. Then read about the story,and listen to "The only living boy in New York", the recording of it and the live version, many years after, when Paul briefly explains when he wrote the song for Artie. If u search pure music, and genuine, uncompromising, wonderful artists, S&G will fullfill your heart, soul, and never disappoint.
I'm utterly lost in this man's performance. So beautiful, powerful and touching... simply amazing. Wish I was an "Emily" to a man with this much emotion.
This is one of John's best covers. Just in my opinion,almost better than the original! John really puts his heart in the music he plays,and this is something really really hard to see these days.
It gives me a weird sense of pride to see John Fruciante play one of my all time favorite Paul Simon didies. For Emily wherever I may find her. Just beautiful

So I figured out John plays this a whole step higher than the studio version put out by Simon and Garfunkel. Kind of gives this very powerful song even more power. I would have never thought that possible. I love when people like John Frusciante tip their hat to great artist of previous generations by covering their songs. To me it shows great respect for those artist, introduces the music to a new generation of people who may not have heard it otherwise, and is royal treat for us all.
Absolutely unbelievable, I believe that people as talented as this reach a plateau where they feel misunderstood by the rest of the world and it makes them frustrated and self-destructive without a doubt the most talented person on that stage
HOLY F*CK. That was so beautiful. As a punker who grew up with my dad listening to Simon and Garfunkle, that was oddly nostalgic and cool at the same time. And to take a break at an RHCP show to break that out...props, John.

Holy shit, watching this clip made me cry in joy (my face is red like a tomato). Until now, the first part of "Better man" from PJ was at the top of the list to me. Now this is perfection, everything fits and everything has an emotion. His voice, the control he has over it and his guitar, the melody, the chords, the tone, the respect from the band and the audience. out of words/10 (and to put the cherry on the top, i'm high as fuck now, this marked my memory)
This guy. I've always loved the RHCP but since getting to know John better I really respect him the most of all the members for so many reasons. He's amazing. ❤
Absolutely love this. I grew up during the late 60's and 70's. My Dad played a lot of Simon and Garfunkel. Paul Simon is an awesome songwriter, and John does a great cover, very close to Art's original voice!
When you can sing this song as good if not better than the original, and one of the great falsetto's EVER and play along to boot.... wow... blown away...
I love to show my friends John Frusciante; he's my favourite guitarist of all time and one of my favourite solo artists. Whenever I do show them some of his work, they comment on his voice. They say it's not the best. I was thinking about it, and they're right. His voice isn't the best in the world. But I noticed, albeit not the best, it's so innocent and meaningful. It almost serves a purpose, being the way it is... John may not be the best singer, but he definitely sings with the most emotion.
John frusciante is like the once in a generation geniuses that operate in a different level from the rest of us. He is truly touched by the divine and the way he performs music is like he and his guitar are one entity!!
If you sing SUCH a song, and you also can actually sing it, you are indeed a real artist, and a sensitive person.❤ and that's what we need today as much as the air to breathe. True art, music, and sensibility.
I really think that thanks to him RHCP is what it ist oday. Since he got in, in 1988 - 89 they got popular and for that same reason he left the band, ironies of life, he couldn´t show himself as the greatest musicians alive he is, a 100% pure music. We are lucky to have him!!!... I said!

I found this song in 1993 and instantly fell in love with it. In 1996 I found the most beautiful honey haired girl named Emily and I played this song for her. We dated for almost two years. I felt this song was meant for me. I still think of Emily often.
john's solo stuff is actually real. the chili peppers aren't the same anymore, they weren't even while john was still playing with them. i'm glad john has followed his heart once again. i will follow his lovingly beautiful music and energy for the rest of my life. i love you john.
Fact that if john did not join to rhcp, chilis would not be famous in all aroud the world. He raised chilis on the top rock bands of all time. No one refuse it ;))

I bought the S and G Greatest Hits album in 78 as a young lad in high school. I was into Led Z and Bob Dylan and even Warren Zevon but also adored S and G (maybe not so loudly in front of friends and chicks). At first listen "Emily" was so slow that I skipped over it many times. But after being forced to listen to it once when I was at a party I realized how intricate it is. Bravo John F! I like also that you have done SOS too: Another guilty pleasure but rockin in its own Swedish pop way.
Absolutely beautiful! And this was on MTV?! Nowadays John could pretty much make a recording of him taking a dump, and it would probably still sound better than 99% of the little music they still play on that network...
I love how comfortable they are with each other onstage, that John can just go "Can I do a song?" and Anthony's just like, yeah go for it :) Love these guys
