Notice in the final solo that he barely move his hand around the neck, what means that he's using just a couple of notes to play that incredible solo, and that is what Frusciante means to me: Simplicity. This man doesn't get tired of showing us that less can be more, much more!
unlike most great guitarists, who only cared to show how badass they were ("oh well, look! look how nimble my fingers are, enjoy this solo with thousands of different notes and amazing arrangements!"). this somehow harmed them. Despite liking their work, they were doomed to sound pretty much the same in every song
The Scar Tissue solo is from the 2006 AOL Sessions, definitely check them out. It consists, correct me if I'm wrong, this is from memory, Dani California, Scar Tissue, Tell Me Baby, Desecration Smile, Californication, and I believe Snow
My personal favorites are the bssm solo from off the map, don’t forget me and scar tissue solos from slane, and can’t stop from the iTunes version. Just the ones I can think of right now
All John’s solos are mind blowing. Also, his technique and chemistry with Flea and Chad are second to none. You will see the most amazing supergroups or bands suck, but chemistry and talent within the band will make rock gods. I love Josh but something wasn’t right. Same with Dave Navarro, same Jack Sherman (rip), Arik Marshall, etc. After Hillel, John was the perfect fit. To me him and Chad should be considered original chili peppers. The best band of all time wouldn’t be without those two. RHCP for life.
Amazing compilation my dear friends 👌😉 greats solos, great RHCPtv1, the best dears. Thanks a lot. Super Like for you already put before. Happy week cheers 🙋🎸❤🔥😉👊🍀❤
Either you don't play the guitar, or don't know much about John Frusciantes playing style and solo's. These are by far the worst, most basic, lazy solo's he has ever produced. Just because he uses the high notes and puts on some distortion, doesn't mean it's an amazing solo.
Not a fan at all of the band. But John is proof people can change and go on to do great things. He honestly should be dead. I couldn't even watch those videos of him. On the closest brink of death you can imagine, goes on to take over the world. Thank you John
It's almost like he's mild-mannered......likes he's "Clark Kenting it"...... He hasn't taken off the suit yet.....lol...... He hasn't transformed into The Frusciante yet......lol....
These are the worst solo's he has produced. I like almost everything, every solo he has ever played. But I'm wondering what the person making this list uses as criteria to consider these the best solo's. It seems like he thinks when JF goes high up the neck, or makes the guitar scream it's an amazing solo. 90% of all his solo's are better than the collection here.
I came here because I saw frusciante on a top 10 list of most underrated guitarists... I'm gonna be hated for this but this all just seemed like mindless noise to me. It was all just the same few notes repeated and separated by a random squeal. If someone can point me in the direction of something a little more "musical" I'd be grateful. 😬
Slane Castle - the entirety of that show. Including the backing vocals on Otherside, which are otherworldly. The finale of their MTV Milan show. The jam in Chorzow, Poland 2007. Or Reading Fest 2007. Or Yokohama, Japan 2004. Fuji Rocks solos. The list is endless. Plus all his solo work - especially on The Empyrean. There is so much depth to this man it’s too much to cover in a comment or video.
