Nashville went 20-5-3 to finish the year - it’s crazy how fast Silovs has earned the confidence of the coaching, team, and fan base. He’s ridiculously calm and collected- edmonton will be a great test for him. as a canucks fan i’m officially satisfied with this season despite thinking we can absolutely beat edmonton, LFG canucks!!
Maybe - but what wars has your team been in? Edmonton gave Vegas their toughest series last year with weak goaltending. Oilers are better this year, Draisaitl and McDavid are heads above anything you saw against Nashville. You'll see that after game 1 - not saying Oilers will beat Vcr, who knows? I do know if you were going to make a substantial bet prior to game one of this series, most people will put that money on Edmonton. Oilers are the most focused I've seen them, if they beat the Canucks, don't feel bad about it - you'd of been beaten by a much better team. Should be a great series though - passionate fans on both sides :)
Preds spent to much time chasing Canucks and trying to hurt them. They said it was part of their long game... Their long game was very short sighted and they came in to game 6 basically spent. Great win for the Canucks. Nashville was really just hanging on the whole series. Their goaltending and shot blocking is what kept it "close."
8:30 an old-guy translator is much appreciated lol!!! Honestly though, the last minute penalty was totally an NHL play, to make it more nail-biting, there wasn't any make-up call or what not, just to do that to increase drama and to bring it to OT. Luckily the next series is all Canadian so the reffing won't be too one-sided.
The problem is that it’s a penalty ‘sometimes’. The same thing happens every game and it’s not called consistently. Also the time it took the ref to call that was unusual, he waited for the player to lay on the ice and cover his face and sell it before raising his arm. That’s the problem I have with that call
DeSmith is a FA at the end of the season. Silovs will be Demko's back up and if he continues to develop he'll be the future whenever the post Demko era begins
@@armaansohi4829 What if the Canucks take out Edmonton with Silovs as starter? or WHAT if they, God willing, won the Cup with him and he won the Conn Smythe? what then would you do with him and Demko? would you go with Demko as starter next year? (purely a hypothetical question not making predictions)
Can't forget that Edmonton has a LOT more finishing power than Nashville. I think Vancouver can probably handle Edmonton better than LA did, though. But we definitely can't get ahead of ourselves on what is about to happen... it could go in so many different ways.
Oilers are also a diifferent animal on defense. They don't play a shut down game like the Preds. Canucks will get their chances. Big thing is to stay out of the box.
Dude. Don’t complain about the calls. It’s as old has hockey itself. If the game is tied, you put away the whistle. If someone is up by a goal and does something borderline, he’s getting a penalty. Always the storyline. Only question is how the story ends!
If someone is up by a goal then the rules for a penalty are different? Are you sure that's what you want for the game of hockey, instead of something fair? This isn't mario kart.
He's a difference maker when he gives pucks away or battles for the puck with one hand on his stick before getting wrecked. He's a regular season player. Not a playoff player. His salary is what it is to help us win the cup. He better step and score a goal or two next series
