Great to see John Garrett and hear his take on the game. I always enjoyed and respected his color commentation on the Canuck games of the past.

These games are how the Lindholm trade is measured: winning 15/20 faceoffs and scoring the game winning goal in overtime.

The winning goal: a breakdown. 1. Great pinch by Cole. He saw he could get there first and went decisively. 2. Lindholm sees Cole pinching and circles back to cover for him. 3. Dakota doesn't actually touch the puck in the corner, but he's got position and that eats up a defenceman. 4. Garland reading the play and using his great agility to get the puck. 5. Great job by Garland to control the puck and put it on a tee in front. 6. Great finish by Lindholm. 6 good plays in 3 seconds to generate a winning goal.

We will be talking about this game for a long time.

I remember Donnie on CKVU 13. Late night. Stackin' up his script or notes at the end of the show. His signature move. I also remember the intro was a Whitecaps ball hitting the crossbar. Ah memories.

Garrett is still awesome.

People have to remember both Silvos and the Tolopilo the backup have very good records, Silvos is 3-0-1 in the NHL and 16-11 in the AHL and Tolopilo is 20-13-1 in the AHL.

Nice to see John G.for sure. This team is well coached. No quit in these guys. So much fun. Even when momentum not in their favour they never count themselves out. Oh, and Nice GM'ing and nice Presidenting as well.

Seeing John Garrett loving the win is such an important part of my celebration. In fact, it was one of the first things I thought of when we got the win.
