John doesn’t inspire confidence that the club is going in the right direction. Concerned again. DK at least takes the bull by the horns and makes things happen.
@J.D_7 yeah Icarus got burned, to close to the sun. His waxen wings melted and he fell. Is that you posting a veiled threat at folk online JD? It reads like that. So what's your point? Perhaps you could explain why you drew that comparison. Maybe it's not a threat but as I say it looks that way. It's against the law to threaten others online.
He never highlighted any plans or went into detail about any internal running of the club, so unless you see and observe him in the role you can't say he is deluded. He has just accepted the role. Let's see what he does, before ripping him totally apart online.
@@reidger7778 John is only a fan who by the looks of it keeps the pie dealers in profit. Empty the board and get new investment and King back. If Souness was their this would never have happened. The other problem is Scottish Football is run by Ceptic who iwn the SFA and SPL. Worse than man shity down south.
In any business there is an internal truth and public one. Rarely do they align. Who is to say they haven't spoken on the phone or by email or text? We will never know. Sometimes there is gamesmanship to positioning yourself and making moves. Both are likely doing that. All we can hope for is that it works out to be in the best interest of the club and it's future.
The new CEO has to hit the ground running, so he/she has to be spot on, on a playing front encouraging signs on the pitch, if Dave King has a problem with the board I'm sure he can call them, no need to air his views in the media, it's not the way our business should be conducted.
I think it was a Bad move doing a presser ..should have been a Rangers TV interview instead ,also Gilligan came across as a guy who would struggle to run a scheme bowling club never mind a global football institution!
He looks and sounds like the guy you would have cooking the books at the working man's club and the capacity for his management should be ordering office supplies and maybe a new dart board. It's starting to look to me like Chris Jack could be one of a few plants, and board protectors across fan media. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't but I suspect he very well could be. Influencers I believe they call them these days.
@@georgewilson197 it tells a story when we can’t attract a ceo, the chairman steps down, all the carry on with each and every building contract we do, sacking managers, players in daft contracts etc etc we are being run terribly by people who are successful in their own lines of business but who don’t understand football. Now the spot light is firmly on them there is no way to park the blame elsewhere like they’ve managed to with Gio and Beale. I also think other investors take one look at them and can’t work with them. I wouldn’t say we are at the dark old days of 2012 but we are NOT in a good position as a football club. We are miles behind Celtic and any decently run club in Europe
The first thing any chairmen needs to do is get top top lawyer on the s.c.f.a,yet again yesterday, celtics leveller was offside, var never looked at it properly, just told the ref its a goal,if you think for one sec willie collumns gonna sort this out, yous aint looking close enough, nobody even challenges them any more, the whole lot of them are celtic people. Costing our club millions every season,i,m astounded that our club are,nt on this.
I don’t doubt John is as big a rangers fan as any. In fact bigger as he has put his money in as an investor . But I am not picking up a massive energy and drive from him to get us forward. At johns age that’s not a criticism. But we need young fresh and energetic investors to come in and join John. Of course we need a chief executive but that person needs support by an energetic and vibrant board of investors.
Absolute nonsense, it was a car crash of an interview. To say that things are ok fills no one with confidence. He is just a yes man for this shambles of a board and until they're out our great club will go backwards. I hope I'm wrong but we need serious investment and i don't see it coming from this current lot. They should have backed Gerrard after 55 but no then they give a used car salesman millions to waste , absolutely clueless when it comes to running a club
I would take King rather than a yes man for a pair of egos between Park and Taylor who have delivered us into debt and failure to win titles and squad that is like a broken bag of biscuits.
@@kennythomson4934 personal attacks cool, you went there. Be bitchy then, ya big Jessie. I will stay grumpy until the day we start operating and acting like the real Rangers FC we are. Winning is supposed to be in this club's DNA and lassie boys like you who except second best are part of the problem. You are failing as a fan to enforce, and demand and uphold the fine traditions this club has in winning. That badge and jersey and our fans deserve better than we are getting under this board. I have more of a clue about business than you. Stay bitchy
Not impressed b😂y him in the slightest. John is not a senior member of the cheerleaders. We need someone strong that forces things through, and has a record of doing such a thing. = King
Nah he is the biggest shareholder and I suspect King won't be pushed around, however politely they seem to try publicly. King is a guy who gets things done.
@andyclelland9771 He might not want out. I for one would want to hear what Dave King's vision would be and general plan. What we he do about investment and would he be willing to invest more?
We currently have nothing going on. A press conference with a stand in chairman is a waste of everyones time. Dave King being involved would give me confidence that things would happen.
