Where's the extended behind the scene's part where the camera stays on Inverdale and he goes over to hug someone and cry on their shoulder. I saw it on a documentary last year about the people who work for the TV companies broadcasting the Olympics.
Met Zac today, let me wear his Beijing gold and London silver. Best birthday present ever!!! Great job boys you didn't let anyone down, as I said the silvers were heavier than the golds anyway ;) He's such a nice guy, he really is!!! Good work boys :)
Gotta respect the way John Inverdale conducts himself...Been watching him on ITV4 present the French Open and he always tries to make the guests feel comfortable :)
I can't believe they said sorry for letting people down. Only way you can let people down is to not try, however to give your absolute all, is all anyone can ask which these two clearly did as they couldn't even stand up afterwards. Well done Zac and Mark, there was nothing more they could have done in that race and they have nothing to be ashamed of.
This upset me so much when I saw it and it still does :( ! I thought these boys had given EVERYTHING they possibly could and to STILL not get what they wanted was unbelievably cruel ! They are true heroes and true men........I also found out that they won a gold at Beijing 2008 !!! So they can very proud of their acheivements, and so can we ! :) Well done boys !!
They let no one down. It was heartbreaking hearing that interview, they gave everything. Even Inverdale was on the verge of tears after that (but carried on anyway!). Such pride and drive to win. That's what the Olympics is all about, even more so than the colour of the medal.
Did you even listen they said the seat had nothing to do with the result...The commentator asked a valid question, So before you start chatting rubbish at least make sure its accurate
I actually don't mind inverdale at all. He made a stupid comment about bartoli but when he was doing today at Wimbledon I thought he was tremendous and also now he chairs itvs coverage of the French open. I genuinely can think of far worse than John
If you worked all your life for one moment... just one moment, and it didn't work out... Wouldn't you be this disappointed too. I would be for sure - they did great! But I would be unconsolable too with all that preparation...
Dangeruss they actually won gold in the China Olympics 4 years earlier so it wasn't just one moment to them, but I remember thinking the same thing as you.
