Narcissists are insecure at the core... what you foolishly see as confidence is fear and self-doubt... confident people don't need to constantly remind everyone of their accolades and status because they know where they stand nor would they shit on other battle rappers to boost themselves up. I rarely ever see Surf says something positive about other rappers and what they contribute to the culture. It's always a contest with him or him feeling the need to remind people of how much better than everyone else he is.
He was humble against Clips at 1st but yes he changed. But he always lose to the niggas that was higher on the echelon (Clips, Verb, Rex, Hollow, Big T) either he didn’t care and it didn’t count or he just happy to be there. Thank god for the Conceited and Hitman battles

1k upon further review Lux definitely humbled Surf. He spent the whole battle sonn’ing Surf. Maybe Lux wasn’t as inspired, but he proved he didn’t even need to go a full hundred to “lil bro” Surf. Especially the 3rd round. Even without the chokes Surf woulda still lost it just wouldn’t have looked as bad

Im a surf fan and I definitely was let down. I can’t even get excited about seeing him battle after this last one. That was supposed to be as good as it gets in our culture
