John is playing his Kirk Sand Signature model guitar with a Barbera Transducer Systems Soloist model acoustic guitar pickup. He is going through an Acoustic Image Amp head and a Buscarino Chameleon speaker. The microphone was placed apx. 3 feet in front of the amp speaker on the floor.

John knows a beautiful song when he hears it, and arranges it for the guitar in a manner that it has even more beauty. There's a reason John was one of the first to be awarded a "CGP" by Mister Guitar himself, Chet Atkins.
