Maybe Jenna still feel like living in this fantasy, but I’d say John is pretty much moved on. Emily blunt is such a nice lady though, I would prefer her than Jenna for John.
I think they probably did. I mean how can you have a relationship for like 9 years and not ever have a sense of love for that person. It’s kind of sad that they were never actually together

John has said that his and Jenna’s relationship was one of the most interesting friendships he’s had, like they just have a really close and strong friendship! They would’ve been really good together, but I know John loves his wife Emily Blunt!
So from the clips it can be observed that the first few years John had a crush on Jenna but she was married. Then in the later years you could see John's distant (physically) from her because he's married but you can see Jenna has a bit of soft eyes for him. So it could be like John liked her but she was unavailable then Jenna liked him but he was unavailable. I think it's just the timing was never right for them.
I know. I used to think that too. How she always pays attentions to Jonh's talking and looking for him. But I saw other videos when she talked to other people who she's close, like Angela (sorry I forgot her real name), and her sparking eyes and reactions are the same!!!.. So may be it's just how affectionate she is towards her favorite people, I think. She does seem like a sweet person in real life. And Jonh is a very likable guy.
I really do believe that for a little bit that John had a crush Jenna, but to be honest they are most likely better off as friends, they had amazing chemistry in the show, but John loves his wife and I think that people saying that Emily blunt stole John from Jenna are ridiculous, especially since Jenna was married first.

@@polly5642 right but you get direction when it comes to these kinds of things, you just dont spontaneously kiss your cast member like that lol. there's always been speculation though, there's other videos kinda confirming she really did have feelings for him. i believe john even went as far as to address it and reaffirm he loved emily blunt lol.
I am someone who firmly believes that there is not just one person for everyone, and that you can find your perfect match in many people. I know they are both happily married, but I really do think these two could have been together in real life if things worked out differently. The opening clip, which I presume took place early on in the existence of the show, probably 06 or 07 (if someone knows feel free to let me know), notice how John touches Jenna's arm. That's not a touch that "just friends" do. John definitely fell for Jenna early in the show. He had not met emily yet and many of these old clips show great emotion for John, but she was already married (hmm, sounds familiar? Roy?) Well in 2008 John met Emily. Also in 2008 Jenna got a divorce. Over time, Jenna definitely started falling in love with him. Notice 2:11 how she puckers her lips. I really think they could have been together, but the timing was never right. Beautiful on screen chemistry though, I'm glad we got to see that. I'm fully convinced that a lot of their acting together, in the emotional scenes, really wasnt acting, and it was just raw emotion.
To me the sad bit is this: in the show they seem a perfect match, similarly good looking, matching personalities... but irl John is much less introverted than Jim and more charismaric. I mean, no offence to Jenna, but Emily Blunt is kinda in another league to her, and the fact she is married with John just goes to show that he's probably a rizz god. It's kind of sad for Jenna if she really did feel John's natural charme through Jim at some point, but knew things could never work offscreen and that she couldn't compete with Emily.
These are the reason I love the office. Love watching them. I wonder if they feel something in real life when they always together on set and kiss. I miss them so much 😭😭
I loved when she breast fed the wrong baby I saw her interview that she says she still has rthe ring jim gave her and still wears it now and then it was a real diamond ring

Same, but society is obsessed with proving its always the women who shows interest in handsome men than the other way round. Also the fact that now John and his wife are famous and friends with famous people, they want to disassociate with anything less interesting and don't serve the purpose of hollywood fame and success. Anyways nobody can deny what they felt during the office shooting. It was special.

In one of the interviews with Bj Novak (Ryan) he said that they were trying to stay away relationships in the cast, because if they ever got into a fight it would ruin the character relationships in the show, that’s mostly the reason why they ended the relationship between Micheal and Carol so quickly.
