I mean he wasn’t wrong when he said it, even many of the girls seemed to pick up on it, teens were crazier for the Beatles than they were for Jesus, it was a simple fact statement. Well...jokes aside, I can only say that John has always been my favorite Beatle and I wish he was still here with us, making more amazing music and commentary on current issues. The whole Jesus controversy was in the South. The reason being is that the Southern Heirarchy in the US at the time hated the Beatles because back 1964 they refused to play to segregated audiences and effectively ended segregation for rock shows in the South.
