Thanks Joshua for doing these interviews!!! You are using the platform Jesus Christ have to you to honor Him. This is a wonderful example for others to follow! One bit of observation: sometimes you tend to interrupt the speaker in the middle of the thought.
Prof. Lennox is admirable to say the least. And i thank You Lord for bringing him into my life... But I unfortunately must say this because it has been most annoying, but the host must learn not to interrupt constantly! I just had to bear it because Prof Lennox's words are very precious.
There are a few places you can find it if you just search the title, technically free to watch, but you need to sign up with credit card for a temporary free trial, but then need to cancel or get monthly charges. If it was straightforward $5-10, I would watch it, but I am so tired of vendors getting your card for subscriptions and then making backing out of monthly charges extremely convoluted.
I heard within the discussion (not literally) but rather in cognitive thought expressions what I categorize as "faith", or believing. I agree with Mr Lennox that Christians must give all people the the respectful right to believe, which I frame as a building block to faith. Hebrews chapter 11 speaks of faith as a substance, which I take to mean it will prove itself. It's evidence becomes clearer when the decision to believe (for unnumberable reasons) takes place. I have the greatest of respect for John Lennox. But I wonder if he is being somewhat disingenuous or patronizing at 17:45. He states that he "believes that the audience is capable of evaluating arguments and making up their own minds." It is very hard for some people to rise above 'propaganda'. Have a look at this short video (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xfO1veFs6Ho.html) for a stunning example of people being unable or at least unwilling to cut through disinformation.
I seriously question if you even know what those two words mean. When a person prefaces a statement with "I really believe" and is a person of high intelligence and high moral character, how do you get off questioning his truthfulness or sincerity? And how is it "patronizing" to trust people to evaluate the information and make logical decisions? I suppose you could question the accuracy of his trust but not to babble as you do.And what is the alternative to Lennox's approach? To threaten or intimidate? Please try to think before you question wiser minds.
