I didn't realize John and Amanda did ProAm together. She is fun to dance with and it's really awesome to see her doing a routine with John. It's always nice to see people doing what makes them happy. Great job, Amanda!
Anyone who gets to dance with this man is one lucky woman. Amanda.... you did a great job and I hope you enjoyed yourself because you two were wonderful to watch. What a special dance to remember.
I'm going to expose my ignorance, but maybe someone can help me. The moves to all of these slow, romantic auto-tuned songs seem like West Coast Swing footwork and arms. So, is there another name for this kind of dancing when it's done to this music, as I see it done so often now? Thanks in advance.
I've noticed that a lot of times they are asked if they want "fast contemporary" or "slow blues". That choice dictates the speed and style of the performance.
@@screeningmimiOnce one learns BASICS of WCS then the styling, syncopations and creativity comes into play. The best pros always try to perfect their basics.
Great dance! You can tell she's thinking too much about the steps/ routine rather than movement of the moment. Needs to trust John to "lead" her flow with it. Well Done.
She seemed a bit stiff thru the whole dance. And she almost never looked at John, mostly smiled at the audience which made her look even more stiff. Nope, not a big fan of hers yet.
A few of the commenters on this video don't seem to understand that "Pro-Am" means she is the amateur. Sure, there is room for improvement, but I still thought Amanda Compton did very well for an amateur dancing in front of a crowd.
John Lindo I really like you, as you prove big guys can do it... I've been watching you all the way back to 2012... Amanda Compton is new for me, I hope we see more of you in the years to come. Keep rocking it guys...
I must say, that while I commend this woman and man on their ability to dance, neither of them were able to pull off this particular style of dance. This dance requires a smooth fluid flowing none ending movement from start to finish. Both of them were far too stiff to execute this technique. Also the outfit she chose to wear didn’t help her one bit. For a woman of her build, she should have worn a dress or skirt, that would have lent some flow of movement to her dance steps. This is strictly my opinion and in no way meant to be a insult or put down to either party..
