The writings of the English philosopher John Locke were very influential among America's Founders. Locke developed his ideas about government by imagining life in a state of nature, which is a state in which no laws or government exist at all. In a state of nature, all people have certain inalienable rights, but these rights were constantly in danger of being taken away, so people would naturally band together and form a civil society and later a government.

In the case of Locke, it is argued that even in the state of nature, persons were able to exercise rights like the right to life, liberty and property rights.

does locke ever say why people have the right to punish others? especially why they have the right when they dont follow reason? seems like an arbitrary statement without a real founding. the only founding i see is that you couldnt have rights if anybody could violate them. which makes the argument sort of self defending but still lacks a base beyond that

What happeneds when a people use Government for personal advantages? Such as global corporations lobbying, unlawful laws, unwarranted jurisdictions and tyranny? WE THE PEOPLE HAVE THE NATURAL AND INALIENABLE RIGHT TO REVOLUTION.
