John has always been funny, charming and very entertaining in every interview I've seen him in! A true icon and gentleman of the 20th and 21st century.
Back in the seventies, I met John in Trafalgars, a night club in Shepherds Bush. I thought he was a big mouth wanker. Ten years later, I bumped into hIm at a party in The Roebuck in Chelsea. After talking to him for a while, I realised he was in fact an intelligent engaging person. He has shown, time an again a real insight into society and it's problems. I know people say he married a billionaires daughter what does he know about poverty. But he came from working class stock, you can't help whom you fall in love with. From what I undrstand, they really loved each other. John is a light that shines. I hope he continues to light up the planet for many years to come.
I lovethis man. Grew up with his music.Apart from funny he is clever, aticulated educated and no nonsense and can be deadly serious. It is pleasure to listen to him .I salute you mr Lydon. You are awesome.
You know the more I find out about him and the more interviews I watch of him the more I just fall in love with him Definitely become one of my greatest musical inspirations
My wife has a nephew who is nearly 60 and is a clone Mr Rotten, he has been a Punk all his life and still does gigs. Paul Carter is his name. All in all a really great guy.
Johnny Rotten is one of two names I can think of pre 1990 punk, and that says volumes. I know the band Ramones but I know the individuals Syd Vicious and Johnny Rotten. Yea he’s the king of Punk.
We're going to see him him during his upcoming tour. I don't always agree with him but he's very very entertaining and I'm looking forward to seeing him
🧡 he was nice to me and P.I.L. with chainsaw kittens opening at the ritz was the second punk show I had been to. Met him and his wife and she was so beautiful I was like 🤩a total dork and they were joking around and cool AF
As much as I love the Sex Pistols and P.I.L. I have to say I dislike John's recent Conservative views. Not sure if he is just playing more of the troll that he always plays or has old age damaged his brain like a lot of boomers? Punks were always against fascism and right wing beliefs.
