@@anthonybunnie1624 Well even though I prefer Arthur’s personality to Johns and no doubt Arthur is a badass. But John first of all isn’t your typical family man. But he put all that aside to become a great dad and husband. Then obviously John marston had the biggest impact in the world of Red dead redemption. Bringing down the remaining bandits in new Austin, then brought down the Mexican government, brought down bill and Javier (even though it must have took a lot for him to do so) then he brought down Dutch van der linde. Something law enforcement couldn’t do for over 30+ years. Then he took on an army at his home with no preparation at all. And what some people miss is that John could’ve easily ran with his family but he knew his family would be hunted down forever basically, so he gave up his life. Arthur was going to die anyway when he gave his life, Arthur had no chance but John did. And John threw that chance away for his family. And John decided long before his death to become a better man than Arthur did. Plus I grew up with john, I was obsessed with RDR when it first came out when I was a kid so people might say I’m biased but I wouldn’t say so. Arthur outshines John in RDR2 but overall John outshines every other character in the universe of Red dead. Becoming the last great gunslinger, being feared, famous and respected in America and Mexico. His name will be known for decades after his death maybe more. but Arthur, no one ( in the universe) would really remember him. Even though he was the best written character, again personality wise.

I don't think that it's going to be the case. I could imagine a game where Jack is alone and he tries to survive in the modern world and he slowly realizes that this outlaw life isn't so romantic as he thought it is. I mean the ending is set in 1914 and I don't think that there are a lot of gangs left

The time of outlaws and gunslingers was already over by 1914.

Jack was possibly drafted for WW1, meaning there’s a possibility Jack died in the war in 1917 I think the US joined. Ian the end, everyone dies eventually. Even Jack as he is one of the strongest possibly, since he survived the longest in the franchise. Any RDR3 game needs to be set before RDR2 if they want to keep up that outlaw life vibe, and not from 1899-1907 where John is constantly causing his family danger

@@ollyearle2967 Best way would be creating a whole new character who is young and joins a gang where he has to prove himself. I would like to see the ''golden age'' of western and outlaws and not the end.

I would hope we’d see young Arthur and John, which would be amazing seeing Dutch and Hosea teaching Arthur and John how to shoot and ride. It would just be epic

I literally grew up on Red Dead Redemption, i was 3 when the game came out, so i was about 6 when I started playing the game as my Dad started playing, so it was something me and my Dad bonded over, so when Red Dead Redemption 2 came out 3 years ago, so my Dad and I did even more bonding over rdr2, I’m currently doing my second play through. My Dad loves Dutch, He’s his favourite side character, so it would be so cool to see his favourite side character get his own game

Personally I don’t think he would. If anything I think John would’ve gone to Arthur as brother. Telling him the situation and I think Arthur would help. Not that John needed it in RDR. John marston fucked up everybody. Well apart from the remaining soldiers and Ross. But that day. The US army lost more men than the marston family did.

I like that he had a life and could've chosen to live it whichever way, yet during Horseshoe Overlook he mentions a ranch and how it's Abigail's dream and that he'd one day learn to raise cattle and try to make it true, and doubted Dutch the most in camp interactions. His passiveness and withdrawn nature, though considered by the gang as foolish as they were pretty loyal at the beginning including Arthur, was actually smart that he'd leave and come and Dutch can't even punish him for breaking the Code. And his sacrifice is heart-wrenching at the end, he just made that dream come true and was about to live normally for the rest of his life. Yet, decided also that running away will endanger them as long as they live, and so it had to be him, rather than more deaths on his conscious like Abigail's or Jack's.
