Indeed. When he talks about '... Wonderland', it's comforting how it was just a fantasy, imagining kind of song. . . and he explains "you have to be very innocent to write a song that says 'your body is a wonderland'..." almost like it blows his own mind to recall that time. :) How he deals with that song and how he presents it, joking that he locks eyes with someone who looks the least interested in hearing this thing before playing it, and has a staring contest with them, is very adorable. Yes to your whole point. Yes. Even in the brand new lyric "if you wanna roll me, then you gotta roll me all night long", I kinda think he's going for the broader meaning, but he makes room for people to take it where they want to. That universal song writing he talks about is so well executed. The line in this song that says "maybe this mattress will spin on its axis and find me on yours": I didn't like too much for a while then I realised it's probably mostly meaning 'I will find myself on your axis', rather than on your mattress... but again, it's ambiguity leaves space for an individual's interpretation and relatability - to make these songs a companion for us and take them with us as our own individualised friend.
