I remember watching this live at 1 am on a school night... It just felt like a 1 one 1 concert and master class for me by John And it’s my favorite memory of all time cause I was so deep into it my life just seemed perfect... me At night In my room which is my fav place on the planet John who’s my idol Music and stories by John Amazing music he made up on the spot like the goat that he is And my Olympic white 87 squier which is my fav object in existence (even tho that guitar has a soul 100%)

I come back to this video all of the time. I remember that night during Covid and it was one of the best moments of my life tbh.

John Mayer has such a unique sound to his playing I love it

He's so good that I'd rather listen to his mistakes and struggles while playing (even though still really few and subtle) for one hour than listen to almost anyone else playing all the right notes for 15min... Love, peace out.

People who like John Mayer should love this. This is as good as it gets. Better than a huge concert. It’s so personal. I would think there would be more views, as famous as he is. I’m glad I found this. Peace to you John.

The way John speaks... I cant help but to think we would be good friends in another universe. Unfortunately, with his status, there's probably an overwhelming feeling that every new person that comes into his life wants something from him. He's talked about this before when he explains his song "Dear Marie" being about the last person he loved before fame was involved. While a lot of us would trade everything to achieve his level of fandom, he mentioned that he would love to be able to go back to his life before the cameras and attention. I've thought about what I would say to him if I met him in person... I think out of respect of him as a person rather than a celebrity, I would just give him a silent nod, maybe say "thanks for everything" and let him continue trying to be a normal guy that likes to play his guitar. Perspective is relative to ones view.

the everyine sounds different is so true and i think is a feeling some musicians wont have cause like you can add flavours like that (bending, sldining and vibrato) on intruments like piano.
