It feels like I’ve known John for years. Seeing his evolution in his own playing has been nothing short of a pleasure. One of my greatest inspirations musically. Hard for me to imagine what it must be like to know the next note you are going to play will be perfect 99% of the time. I hope to meet him one day. One of the most understated musicians of this generation. “You got me crying, as was you plan”. What a goal-setter. I love the way he can almost sing his way through his play as if vocally he anticipates and then creates the sound he wants. Love it and love him.

wayne rorbach the funny thing is he says not to buy it because it is too expensive. Any intelligent person would know that it’s not the pick that determines your skill level or ability to play.
He uses a TD-35. I have been using bluechips for 8 years. You can really hear and feel a difference on acoustic but not as much on an electric. From my information, John has over 90+ since his tour 2017 started. He does not get them for free, he buys them out of pocket. Order them here, www.bluechippick.net

big daddio page played a Herco 75 tortex. And they’re $35. People pay good money for strings that they replace once a month. Why not invest in something that you don’t replace (if you don’t lose) that interfaces directly with the instrument. Does it make difference? Idk, but $35 is a fairly low ceiling to find out.
