John Mayer Interview part 1 

I was THERE at Crossroads watching John play at the same time with not only Eric Clapton, but Buddy Guy, BB King, Jimmie Vaughan. All seated in a row on stage.

Funny how he talks about wanting to play Eric Clapton, and now he just calls him Eric and he's played with him many times

"Not necessarily! I wouldn`t be so sure John!" LOL

Lol all the girls are like "Stevie Ray Vaughn? Who's he?" then you hear dudes saying "YEAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!" lololol

@CMSpida Its funny though, the trio album was his worst selling album, still scoring like, low top 40's or something, not sure. but i think it was his most awesome work.

Dude, you were the guy from the Porcaro instruction video? xD Well at least you have a great taste of music, because you like John Mayer I guess :p But Clapton is one of the most succesfull blues guitarist ever, so yeah, I don't think he's that much overrated

thats great that he doesnt even bother listing the names of blues artists because he knows that they wont have any idea who they are. i'm so glad hes transitioning out of pop

hopefully not. any current artist or actor for that matter i find who explicitly uses drugs is crap to me. but stuff back then...like Jimi? i LOVE Jimi Hendrix. i'm sure John is the type of guy who likes to be fun but not TOO fun. when you have fame, you've got to be careful. he can really keep his cool with the masses.
