Don’t reply to fake spam messages pretending to be me, saying you won a guitar and things like that. If I respond to a message you will see the verified check mark.
I don't know whether this was a real message from Lucas, because there was nothing there on telegram, but either way I do not want or need a reward for expressing my unbridaled enthusiasm for your consistently brilliant musicianship and your creative video ideas, which is enough of a gift for which you have my gratitude and respect. Your musicianship is extraordinary, However, that being said, you need to up your game in terms of production value. The sound quality, recording and engineering do not do your playing justice. If you watch Stephanie Jones videos, not only is her playing world class, but the sound quality and production value serve as an excellent support that honors the level of her virtuosity and you should do the same.
I got hit with this too! Your response was the same as mine, this is a horrible scam that preys on your subscribers, thanks for indicating to your subs they should not respond. The scammers use your name and profile picture. I hope you can get this stopped
@@ericgendell8874 You are showing disrespect to the man telling him his brilliance is not good enough because the midtones are not tuned to your dog hearing pitch sense or hi fidelity which is such utter nonsense if you know anything about monaural mp3 and its high compression ratio and limited sound range, you are just a sucker for lots of presence and reverb switches. Get real.
This is one critique I have with your videos Lucas: I really like the music your playing, I also like the comedy you are doing, but I typically would not watch a comedy like that multiple times. But I'd listen to your music a thousand of times. I'll be the first one to spend money on a proper album of yours. Just spent an ridiculous amount of money for some of your shirts (because of sending to Germany including customs...). PLEASE RECORD AN ALBUM! For me the sound quality of your youtube videos is totally fine. No fancy pro studio required. You could also just upload the 20 most liked "but it's jazz" videos in a music-only version with the whole song from the first to the last note.
This isn't the first time one of your videos left me feeling like Antonio Salieri listening to Mozart for the first time. The way you reharmonize and basically reinvent some of my favorite tunes is so next-level. I can't tell whether I'm more jealous or inspired.
This is what it’s all about. I’ve noticed quite a few videos about this song from popular guitar RU-vidrs with titles like “hardest riff ever?!”, “impossible to play!” (based on your video’s title and what your “dumb” character says early in the video, I’m thinking maybe this was the inspiration?), where they basically just show off the fact that they can play the riff with *almost* the same verve as the original artist. I’m glad that people enjoy that stuff, but ultimately it’s nothing you couldn’t get from a guitar tab and a video of John Mayer playing it himself. You, on the other hand, bring something entirely new to the table and take it to a place where it could truly be considered impossible to play for 99.99% of guitarists, along with a healthy dose of your weird sense of humor. This is why your content will always be the pinnacle of “guitar RU-vid” in my humble opinion.
The thing i like the most about your style is how you play the guitar in a way that's both jazz AND classical (in the approach, the technique, etc.)! That is so musical and inspiring 😊
With every successive video you release, you blow my mind even farther. I don’t listen to “pop” and I’m not familiar with the Jon Meyer tune….but in my opinion I don’t think that Meyer could play it as you do. I’m an old guy….been a working pro since 1964, got a masters in music but now 76 and semi-retired. You are consistently the most enjoyable player on RU-vid. Both aesthetically and technically, you’re a monster on the guitar plus some of your comical bits are creative and funny…..especially to someone who wasted a lot of hours as a shill for the booze. Keep it up. Both my wife and I do our bit on line to promote you and your music whenever we can.
Been practicing Neon for more than 2 years and have gotten to a point where I'd say I'm able to play it. And then here you are absolutely crushing my feeling of accomplishment and setting new goals. Thanks I guess :D
Best guitarist RU-vidr in my humble opinion and the one with the best sense of humour 👏 love every video he does. Always a pleasure to hear you sing as well as play. Bravo sir.
Ok. 1. Yes, subscribe. 2. Holy shit, amazing! So technical and yet so musical and the end with the transition to the jazz tune (don’t know name) is ridiculous.
Gosh, that was fvcking brilliant! For me this is one of your best videos and definitely one of my favourites! Always loved it when you did some very technical stuff looks so easy and you did it while singing, too! That's crazy! Man, you're my favourite guitarist on youtube. Keep up the great work!
I would Playlist this if it was on Spotify, your voice and guitar playing pairs perfectly, for some reason reminds me of my childhood when I used to listen to my little mp3 player and had *totally legally acquired* music, and most were similar to what you do on RU-vid
Excellent, brilliant guitar playing and really great arrangement of this tune... though i am a bit surprised to see Lucas wearing a woolly jumper at the beginning of the month of July..
You are amazing, your guitar playing your humor your harmony the way you play is a unique expression of you and that's why we like your videos so much!! ❤️❤️❤️
Ok...i was watching the john mayer l.a. live and got impressed by how he played the bassline so accurately with the thumb over the fretboard, and then here you are adding walking bass and using perfect hand positioning so you don't even need to use your thumb...you are a legend
Wooah okay, this sounds sick! Good job as always, Lucas! I've subscribed for a long time and can tell how good you're playing, but also I see a LOT of improvement in your singing
Лукас, Вы уникальный музыкант! Когда пересматриваю ваши шедевры, улыбка с лица не сходит. Выше всяких похвал. Спасибо за ваш труд. + Актер вы замечательный!!!)) С нетерпением жду ваши новые работы...
Greatness!! Lucas deserves to be famous, already famous but deserves more, so much more!! Just really AAAmazing, I've never seen any guitarist like you❤️✨👏
Господи! Какой мастер! Работяга, столько всего умеет на гитаре, столько музыкальных школ и училищ, так ещё и умеет красиво петь! Это прям монстр музыкант!
Bravo! Astonishing stuff, bro. Such a hard idea to work with. Great job! Hope your videos make people love guitar and push them to play more like they did to me. Danke schon!
Besides the incredible music, the visual experience was so strong it distracted me from the performance! Great camera and set design. Too bad that drunk was standing over you the whole time.
You aRE SO FRIGGIN underrated. I couldnt ever begin to fathom the patience you have to sit down and re imagine this riff aswell create a whole original video around it. Like wtf man.
@@mckay91095 off the top of my head, here's one from Josh Meader. My difficulty ratings are effected by how many times the camera cuts away ru-vid.comLb741k1tC_U?si=NIDoFq32bOrDN4nx
@@DaTLMusic Ah OK, I see what you mean. I still think this is Difficult ( Like an 8.5/10 ) but I respect your opinion and thank you for showing me that short.
@@mckay91095 no worries xd. I also consider the LA live neon performance to be a 10. I think this cover is actually easier since he didn't have to do a rolling thump/slap technique nor use his thumb for the root note of every chord like John mayer does. And he plays nearly perfectly, with pretty complex vocal lines, while live. Absolutely insane to me
I love how you believably make yourself the comic foil as a metaphor for just how difficult that song is. The song has produced some of the best music exploration videos on youtube.
