John just hasn't gotten to a point where he can perform his new songs as well as his oldies. He always sounds so much better when he plays stuff from continuum and room for squares, and all his older albums. Probably because he's been playing them for years. Can't wait till he gets to playing his new songs that well.
Yes I see the irony, this guys has alot of balls to play this song their and in national television. This is why this guy is awesome and so is his music.. I would stand beside this guy to conquer those global elites assholes who have corrupted this country.. From one musician to another, we always have our way of getting our message out.. Which is by playing great jams like this one.
Love to hear John do the blues and cover Hendrix. As much as I hate to say it, I find the new recording a yawner. Bought it, tried to listen to it, ripped a few cuts, then gave it away. Talented man, I'll be waiting for the guitar album he mentioned. And yeah, kool solo, just too short.
Another thing I noticed after listening to this song again is the line "It's not that we don't care, We just know that the fight ain't fair" Since when is the fight fair. It wasn't fair for Ghandi in India, It wasn't fair for King in Alabama, It wasn't fair for Mandela in South Africa. Life isn't fair. If you're waiting for a fair fight you'll never step into the ring. "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Edmund Burke Waiting sounds a lot like nothing
just a question - does "waiting on the world to change" means that you are waiting on our planet to change yourself? i'm not a native speaker so sorry for the question :) actually i thought that he in fact sings about changing the world...
