This is great !! me Inner Mounting Flame or Birds Of Fire. both bought new, preferred the former. Years later, neighbor, the latter. All good. ha, JM tour with Jeff Beck, '74 or so. Every major stop, John would buy a guitar and ask Jeff to play it. End, a Strat "I don't want to play your guitars anymore" JM "But do you like it?" JB, "Yes" JM "Well its yours". The Wired Stratocaster!

How did you go from straight ahead on Johnny Carson (Cherokee standard, 1989/90 acoustic guitar) to Inner Mounting flame style guitar?? (1970/71)…..first of all…McLaughlin has OTHER MUSIC in his career than the short lived MO (more than Free Spirits even, which you didn’t “remember”). Second, unless I missed the time travel news, you don’t start in 1990, then CHANGE YOUR STYLE so you can play as you did in 1971!!!
