OMG this brings a tear to my eyes thinking about the sacrifice that so many people give so we can sleep in peace at night. God Bless you all for having our backs. 🇺🇲
I never got any letters from home in my 2 years in Iraq but I did enjoyed my time making fun of a few or my squad buddies,it sounds crazy how we humans write things out of empty feelings.
@John Michael Montgomery , I have listened to your music 🎶 since you started making albums... your lyrics and vocals are just amazing... you will always be one of my all time favorites ❤ Keep them coming... you still sound amazing!!!

@@luanngross2880 when I say this I want you to know that I honestly mean this from the bottom of my heart I promise, my heart and prayers and thoughts go out to you. I’ve been there and I felt your pain and heartache, those memories are what I still thrive on I promise. My thoughts are with you, if there’s anything you need reach out to me and I’ll keep you in every prayer I pray
This song always gets me, too. Thank you to all the honorable men and women who serve to make this world a better place. As someone who worked for the postal service, I was always so proud to deliver packages and letters from servicemen/women overseas to their family/loved ones. This masterpiece will forever remain close to my heart.
I remember reading letters from mom to my fellow airmen back in 1994 during the gulf war, and then again reading letters to my fellow marines I 2002 during the global war on terrorism. I purposely dud that to bring morale to the soldiers since the letters gave them purpose and not feel abandoned.
