Good to know his own song Battle Lines communicated emotionally to him. John Mitchell surely did justice to John Wetton's song here, quite astonishing.

A fitting tribute by John Wetton's friend and band mate! John Mitchell may be the best kept secret in music today... John Wetton band, Frost, Kino, It Bites, Arena, Lonely Robot...and others. Prog fans know him very well. Musically diverse, great voice, fantastic guitarist, producer. If guys like this were played on American radio, I might start listening again. A fabulously talented musician!

Wow, John. I just very recently became a John Wetton fan, only to learn that he had passed on last year. And I wasn't familiar with you until I saw the video of you and Mr. Wetton performing in Krakow in 2003. I became an immediate fan of yours based on your brilliant guitar skills. Now you've just blown me away with this heartfelt vocal. This was just beautiful. I think John Wetton would be very proud of you and would be happy to have you sing his songs. Wow!! Just Wow!! I love your voice. I just discovered this song about 2 months ago when I purchased JW's Anthology. It quickly became a favorite and you're version is right up there.

One of my favorite songs of all-time, written by one of favorite musicians. Your voiced is perfected suited to it. Gives me shivers! I just saw the special Asia tribute show to Wetton in New Jersey last week. In a perfect world, you would have shown up and performed this song.
This hits like a ton of bricks today. John Wetton is a big loss in my musical world, and interestingly enough, my first time ever seeing/hearing John Mitchell (as I eventually got into Arena/Kino/It Bites) was on Wetton's Amorata DVD 13 years ago to the day.
As a fan of both you John, and John Wetton, I have to admit you killed this... I'm a wanna be everything it seems, but one tiny part is a singer. John Wetton had a singularly spectacular voice. You do too. Different, no doubt. But both special. Hearing you sing this, makes me wonder how you would resurrect Asia. You could do it, no doubt, and all respect to current members... :)
