My interpretation of this amazing piece. Clips are for the beautiful movie Sunshine. I didn't use any stems from the original song and the use of the clips from the movie fall under fair use.
This movie tore my heart out. Everything about it is so beautiful and heartbreaking. Stunning visuals, excellent cast, and a beautiful soundtrack. 5-star film right there.
And yet, whenever I recommend it to people I feel like it's such a specific vein that it will likely fall on deaf ears. There are such formative moments in this movie. The meanings found in scenes like where he attempts to jump from one part of the ship to the other; I take for being allegory for the hope of humanity/life in the cosmos; to the chilling first words of the movie: "our sun is dying.". WE ARE ALL DYING! What are you going to DO about it!?! I'm hooked for life. Great piece.
Звучит божественно и монументально, раскрывая своё величие и могущество, приходит осознание того, на сколько мы маленькие, по сравнению с тем чувством, что раскрывает музыка.
Such an amazing piece of music and such an under-rated movie - every single cast member is absolutely brilliant. This version is now on my permanent playlist!
How beautiful the music and the videos are! I love this movie, it is a masterpiece. And time shows the true value of the movie. It appeared in 2007 and now it has its army of fans and People still watch it and love it. It is one of the best sci-fi movies and I keep rewatching it again and again
That scene where they watch Mercury pass by.. It looked like the planet was falling into the Sun. Cant describe what I felt at that scene. The crew watch thinking it will happen to Earth too. They witness creation being undone
@@domzbu I know a lot of peoole don't like the last bit. It's unfortunate it tuned out like that. There Is some plot holes like how did they not know about the extra crew. I still enjoyed it. I watch it from time to time. The cinematography is breathtaking. The music Is transcending! Although the song that played right at the start of the end credits was terrible. Nearly ruined the mood. I don't know what the director was thinking there.
@@NT_1 I dunno, he could have snuck on. The only people on icarus 2 were on the bridge and the rest were spread out on icarus 1. I also think they were going with a supernatural theme with the captain of icarus 1. It looked like he was phasing in and out of reality and said he talks to god. That may sound silly but keep in mind he's been living near the surface of the sun for 7 years. So just insane or supernatural? Let the viewer decide.
One of the greatest scifi movies. So much in our solar system that we have not physically seen and explored. Yet we are like one grain of sand in all the sand on Earth in comparison to what we not discovered in the universe.
Beautiful music perfectly matched with the visuals. Kudos to the developer. To me it is a message of hope, not of despair. We all return to being part of the stars.
You were made to reign forever, in your glorified body, with Jesus Christ the Lord and the Immaculate Virgin Mary and all of the angels and saints forever. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you, from the bottom of your heart, and He will!
This movie is so good, beautiful and aesthetically pleasing to the senses. I loved the soundtrack so much. Sunshine is literally one of if not the best thing that has happened to the science fiction genre. I can't believe how amazing the plot and the storytelling was. The visuals and cinematography were stunning. Being on a spaceship has not felt as interesting as it did in the movie. Great remake of the song to a fantastic film. Will forever love it. Cillian Murphy is an incredible leading actor and the chemistry is phenomenal with the crew. John Murphy & Danny Boyle deserved a million awards. Capa's jump sequence is literally one of the greatest moment in cinematic history.
@@georgelionon9050 Would you make a better film than Danny Boyle did here? The plot is great. Sci-fi isn't everyone's thing but I always enjoyed the storytelling and spectacular atmosphere this movie has. So many beautiful sequences and a lot of depth. The chemistry between the characters and claustrophobia on the ship is so good. Fully invested. People who don't like it are usually pissed off they didn't make it. There aren't a lot of flaws with it like some folks make it out to be. They are wrong. The whole journey makes sense and the writing is well done and polished.
@@Sigurjon96 Well that is just your opinion man. I dont get it, why people cant accept, that will many aestethical aspects are great, and you can also go big in symbolism and so on.. the plot is still terribly bad and no not good science fiction.

This is a rare film. The first two acts are so good that I don't care that the third is so disappointing. Named my daughter Cassie because I loved the character so much.
Would have been one of my all-time favorite space-epics if it werent for the final act. The music. The performances. The visuals. Such an outstanding film.
This is one of my favorite Sci-fi movies ever, I think what really captures this is John Murphy's epic music. To go on an incredible journey on rebooting our sun. I think its a shame it turned into a slasher film.
The slasherness has upset many people. I understand why, but to me there is an important reason why Pinbacker (Devil that took form) presents a physical danger towards the ending of the film. It has to do with the dual nature of the film, religious, technological and human subtexts. I won't go into a crazy rant about it, because "who asked" xd. But just try to think about the fact that only 1 character out of 8 got killed in a slasher way. After Devil appears, 4 people die but only 1 is directly killed by him. I don't think it's really a slasher film or a slasher film in 3rd act, although I agree that those minutes when Pinbacker kills Corazon and haunts Cassie are quite slashery, but they're just so well done imo, from his visual astetics to his motives and intentions, Pinbacker is very different from any other villains who do some slashing. Also, his appearance and meaning was hinted at and softly built towards throughout the entire film, but you have to look quite closely ;). In the end, I don't see his murders as dumb slasher kills but rather something else entirely, something much deeper.
@@ryzathegray2974 Agreed, on all points! I don't consider it a horror or 'slasher' movie at all, too bad it was billed that way... BTW I think I forgot his name was Pinbacker, could this be an easter egg/homage to Sgt Pinback who had the existential discussion with the AI in the planet-killing bomb in 'Dark Star'??
Why is it I have this horrible gut feeling when I hear the music in this movie. It's like when graduating school you know most people you knew will probably be gone forever. Another good example is when watching Paul Walker in his last movie before he died. I feel my throat closing in and having anxiety or something. Maybe it's also because I watched in my young teen years with a girl that really loved. LOL sorry for the random rant.
I have this same feeling remember watching this movie young like you and I think what happens is memories of childhood get triggered with this wonderful piece of music
amo questo film alla follia: Kaneda, what do you see, what do you see?? e Kapa che salta verso lo scuo con la bomba con in sottofondo questo pezzo e da orgasmo sensoriale. Fantastico
Es una excelente película unida a una increíble banda sonora. La vi en el cine y adquirí el DVD. En ella y 28 días después supe de la genialidad de Cillian Murphy, aunque todo el reparto es excelente. Y qué decir de Danny Boyle y Garland.
A long time ago I read a quote from Hans Christian Andersen… “where words fail, music speaks”. Music has been speaking to me ever since. This piece has plenty to say
Truly a masterpiece, so underrated it's only just that we are currently suffering at our own unanimous hands....if only we could be like the crew of Icarus...we could rely on a positive outcome for our darkest days.
The applaud dies with you God. You will be the last human to perish at the end of the Universe... go strong fighting head fist first screaming into the oblivion as it approaches overtakes envelopes consuming your every fiber of being GOD instantaneously annihilating any proof we ever even existed.. But at the end of it all there we existed beyond our wildest dreams..
