He is singing 2 and a half tones down from the original version (that's why you can sense something different), that's something very common among artist who have to tour a lot and need to give an extra span to their voices. Aside from that I think he gives it all to his audience and is an outstanding performer. Big respect for this artist.

I love this song. It gets me so jazzed. I've heard it off and on through the years, but never REALLY listened to it and it's one of my favorite songs of all time. His voice, the beat, the various instruments, it's magic.
