bro, ive listened to all the greats, hendrix, petrucci,malmsteen for years, and ive only discovered this banger of a solo. Incredible blues phrasing, incredible authentic strat tones, one of the best ive heard in my life.
John does get everything he can out of that Strat & a fine cover of this ole Humble Pie track, killer as hell even if both Steve Marriott & Peter Frampton used Gibsons in it.

I love all his solo stuff, but ESPECIALLY when he's the one singing. That's cool Leven is in there, guess I shoulda looked at the album credits. He's my favorite guitarist because ever single note is deliberate, soulful, and awesome. This whole album is full of this awesomeness

Great song! I absolutely love Johns voice! He sounds like he's feeling every word,every note! I don't really think he sounds like anyone but himself!! And that's just the way I like it!!
Cathy Mc I have the record and it's Kerry Keeling who sings this song. In the video he "plays" the keybord player and John the singer. Maybe that's a lil joke!? John has also a good singin voice,but i'm sure it's Keeling,who sings here.

This is a cover of the band humble pie on their 1971 album "rock on" right before Peter Frampton left. I suggest you check it out especially if you were unaware this was a cover. Nice rendition though!!!

Europe is out with a new album called "War of Kings". There is a video out for the song "War of Kings" but I don't really think it represents the new album. The whole thing is definitely worth a chance!
whe he recorded this tune on the shrapnel lable he dedicated the album to gary moore and i think this album has his best playing and hugest guitar tone he has ever had he has always been at the top of my fave guitarist
Yes, his tone was phenomenal on this album. Also, his voice was even stronger on this album than it was on his first album. He was already a solid singer on the first album and his voice totally surprised me, but his singing grew by leaps and bounds from the first album to this album. He had a very cool and expressive rock and roll voice, and he sang as well as he played the guitar, which is just mind-blowing. He is a worthy successor to Gary Moore (RIP).
