Colbert: "The worst that could happen is you could take off somebody's head" Oliver: (Hysterical laughter followed by shooting the front row in the face)
It's nice that all of the Late Night hosts are buddies. No matter what you may think of any of them, it is a much better environment than certain times past.
It helps that a lot of them first broke into the industry together. There’s a reason that most of them talk about Jon Stewart as if he were a giant. The Daily Show played a huge part in shaping a lot of late night shows as we know them.
These guys pushed and shamed ppl into vaccine mandates , staying at home , masks and a host of other things that just turned out to be completely false . You'd think they'd at least have the decency to apologize for getting it so fcking wrong .
Buddies?they are part the the corporate woke trash people are sick of from hollywierd.they are basically prized parrots & donkeys for the masses by the system
For those who don't know, John Oliver has a stand-up bit about how despite people having been killed by or as a result of t-shirt cannons, the power one feels when wielding one is undeniable and I think he proved that again here
The T-Shirt Cannoneer teaming up with the likes of the Mad Hatter would be hilariously appropriate. They just need a pants themed villain and they go around putting clothes on people. 😂
Batman: He calls himself "The Artilleryman". The police didn't take him seriously because he only wields a t-shirt cannon, but they forgot that they work in GOTHAM.
WHAAAAT?!? How am I only NOW learning Strike Force Five existed now, after the strike is over?!?! The Algorithm Gods have failed me!!! At least your merch is right on time for when I joined!😅
I'm pretty sure more right wingers know this podcast existed than their regular audience lmao. Right wing influencers dragged the podcast the entire time it was going.
It was great to watch John Oliver and Stephen Colbert share the same braincell as they launched t-shirts at people XD That was a great moment. They're such fun people.
For an Englishman to laugh like a child: how unbecoming. Welcome back guys. Good to see you again. Buy your writing staff a beer and tell them it's from me.
@@CollinScott As an American who has lived in the UK : they do have guns in the United Kingdom --paintball guns, NERF guns, and other kinds of rifles and shotguns, as well. But the laws and regulations on various weapons vary depending on which country (Northern Ireland laws are different than Scotland, etc).
@@JillWhitcomb1966 And they certainly make sure not every Tom and effing looney Harry can get one - UK have one of the strictest control measures on who can have access to firearms. Absolutely no carrying one in public, concealed or otherwise.
For anyone who might’ve missed John on Sun night - and there must be very few out there - pause this segment right now and go watch John’s last broadcast. It’s the funniest thing you’ll have seen in months. John nailed EVERY moment even better than he has in the past.
Strike Force Five was great! And so was Radio Shack, John! I was a regular there! Jon Stewart and David Letterman were on SFF as guests. Its still up on Spotify.
I thought the worst that could come from a t-shirt cannon shot was being knocked of the rear edge of the stadium and falling to the most ridiculous death on TV, ala Maude Flanders.
Now that Late Night, et al is back, I am stunned to find they had a podcast that I wasn't aware of. I definitely would have tuned in. I have all of them in my subscribers list but I guess RU-vid -and whoever else - that promoted it , or even made a mention of it, certainly didn't do a good job. How did I (or my small circle) not hear of it?
@@doraguerra21 I guess they are but if they were discussing the news, which I would've hoped for them to do, I don't really see myself listening to episodes that were topical five months ago... :/
@@unvergebeneid they dont discuss the news. the podcast is mainly them discussing their jobs and sharing interesting and funny anecdotes from doing their shows. for example - the second episode of the pod is them talking about their first ever episodes, and theres also brief tangents about why seth's set changed, why john had a guest area he didnt bother using, and why kimmel stopped airing his show live.
I started listening to Strike Force Five. The first episode was a little tough to listen to, you know, because they are still trying to navigate everything. So, I decided to listen to the most react and work my way back ... and it's been great! I'm loving them all joking and kidding with each other! Not to mention, they had Jon Stewart and Letterman on!
Was waiting to see how long it would take for John to be on Stephen Colbert. John's glee at hitting people in the face with "literal trash" is priceless.
John's trigger finger at 4:30 and accident firing is all the proof we need that he really has not somhow fired a t shirt cannon (Friendly reminder to keep finger out of trigger like steven unless ready to fire, alongside all other safe firing procedures)
It was a great podcast! Episode 5 definitely is the best one, I was in tears laughing (which slightly distracted me from getting any work done :D), but all of it was a lot of fun!
Geeze, WISH I had known there was a podcast - must be living under a rock....so Stephen, John, Seth, JImmy - ( and the other one....) - sounds *awesome* (also, - 5 months? Wow!)
I was watching this with captions on and at 1:42 when Stephen was trying to say "what did you...what did you make of that description" the captions say WHAT A JEW, what the fuck hahahahah
We have missed you all so deeply. My shirt from the podcast is on the way! Thank you for taking care of both your staff and our sanity while you were all gone!
John Oliver's obvious discomfort at doing comedy, when combined with his deep horror at being unable to do comedy, may be the most relatable thing i have ever seen.
I remember her from The Ref. She was so proper and hilarious as the matriarch who everyone "put up with". My Mom knows her from classics, and when she's lucid😢 she points her out.
Yay! John Oliver! Also, still wishing whomever is posting these videos on RU-vid would number them or otherwise indicate what order they are supposed to be in.
The way sir Oliver got all giddy, when he saw Colbert shoot someone with it, and he realized "oh i can do that too?!" Then quickly loaded one up and blasts that beautiful woman in the shnoz .. Classic Late Night moment🕺
