I can’t believe he actually covered this riff. The transition into that section of the song is so fucking good, maybe my fav part of the whole album

This series is likely my favorite GW has produced. Watching John play is always a joy, and the discussion is both informative and inspirational. I'd love to see more content like this from such versatile players.

at wit's end riff is one of the best riffs they have ever wrote, I'm really surprised that it is not here (even though this one is great too)

Thank you John Petrucci for explaining the "space scale" that I use frequently but had no idea what it was called! You are the man. I really need to take lessons 😆

In several videos Lydian Dominant was mistakenly presented as a Lydian! Now I noticed this exploring what is "Lydian Dominant" and it turned out that it's in fact something what was wrongly presented by some guitarists as a Lydian. Now I understand the meaning of "..combination of Lydian, Mixolydian.." as Lydian dominant. Thank you! Yes, better to watch true professionals with theoretic background

@@MK-oz2lf How many languages do you now? 1 ! and it's very poor, EITHER. Iknow 3 foreign languages, you only 1 your native english. Morover 7 person at least full understood my comment except you - so your English is not only poor - your culture and IQ are very low, stooped at the age of Simpsons watching - typical.

The wise and clever use of major scales and major modes is one of the reasons why I've always loved Dream Theater so much.

Why hasn't the Dream Theater played the song "At Wit's End " in the concerts so far? And I was hoping that John Petrucci would play some Lick of this amazing song! I was disappointed.

I know right? that's my second favorite on the album! his solo in it is so incredible! Barstool Warrior has the best solo though I have to say. The whole album is great but those two are the big standouts for me.

I always thought of that pull off technique as something characteristic of Adam Jones playing. Wonder who got it off of whom 😄

the rooster haired interviewer hinted at the sounds potential origin - thunderstruck, ac/dc, malcom young.. adam jones is technically still 12 years old..

Paul, lose the piece...it's getting out of control. Just shave it all off, thank me later. I'm in the same boat. Johnny P. lives where I was born so even though I'm not a huge DT fan....I'm a JP fan.
