This sermon by John Piper concerns the words of Jesus that He is Himself the living water which we thirst for in our souls and that we are to drink of Him (John 7:37-38).
Thank You Lord Jesus for pursuing me. For drawing me to drink. My soul is satisfied in You alone. You are my rock. You are my hope. You are my joy. You are my portion forever and I love You. Revive us again oh Lord that Your people may rejoice in You.
🕇🕇🕇 Without God’s love for us we could never love Him. In 1 John 4:19 we read this truth, “We love him, because he first loved us.” That is love without definition. He first loved us, but our love for Him must be total, without challenge and everlasting. Jesus answered a lawyers question on this matter in Matthew 22:37-40, “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. The second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Thank God for His undefinable love for us. May God give us a love for Him that is undefinable to all human understanding and description. 🕊📖🙏
Actually what it all means is because we were made in the image and likeness of God because God is love we can love God has compassion so we can have compassion God is peace so we can have peace God is patient so we can be patient it's all built in and now so is his holy spirit once again to be one whith God once again through are savior Christ Jesus allways have a look again at Gen 1and 2 redemption.Amen
This sermon helped me to navigate where my thirst is hidden in the closet. Thank God. I found my thrust and my soul enjoy the fountain still drinking. I don't notice what is going around me. Thank you John. I am praying for you.
Greetings from Singapore !! Thank you , Pastor Piper , for the revelational UNDERSTANDING of the Rivers of Living Water !! Let it flow from inside me , from now , Lord !!!
Wow i just had an awesome thought. Jesus said "i thirst." Right b4 he submitted himself to death. I wonder if he was longing for the Father to quench his humanly souls thirst...?
What a beautiful message! I love the thought and the fact that God has Matt Hall this out as Jon said for us, and for the people there that he called to Christ, and for those who get to see this message later and hopefully also respond and open themself to Jesus
