I love Jesus, not because he supplies my needs, I love him because he loves me, and he died for me.

Job's whole family died and God took everything from him! but he still gave God all the Glory amen!

The Propserity Gospel makes my angry/sick in the stomach, because it's deceiving the multitudes. I pray.

I started drinking when I was 16. I would drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was. So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time. I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was expelled from high school. I was told never to come back. At that time, I felt afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something. It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at my hands, and I said this can’t be real it’s impossible. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy spirit became entirely real to me it was washing over me and inside of me. It was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can. My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also. Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will know JESUS IS KING!!! HE LIVES!

This video is amazing. When i watched this first years ago, it left an impact on me, i think i teared up a bit because everything he said, I actually experienced, not the whole accident part but how we speak to god and how we bond with him. It made me appreciate more where i was in life, it made me less confused about how certain things worked, it was how my relationship with the lord was, and I prayed to him in my most worst times, and i realized one time i was breaking down, opening up to the lord, crying and telling him everything in my prayers, and what i felt in that moment, his light, i knew he was there listening, and hearing me tell him how grateful I was. Money started to become less of my worries and i started to become more religious and started realizing what really makes a good life. Such a good video, glad i came back to watch. I couldn't forget what that last quote did to me.

I live in Africa and I have firsthand experience of the impact of the gospel on lives. Families that embraced the missionaries that brought christianity are very different, much much better than those who continued to serve idols. There is something about the gospel of Jesus Christ. It may meet a man poor or sick but it doesn't leave him poor or sick. It changes his situation totally. That is why it is called goodnews and that is why it is the only true solution to the need of mankind.

I am an atheist, one may even call me a firebrand. But this man has my respect. I do not need to believe as another believes to identify and respect honesty and integrity.

The REALITY of what the preacher is exposing here strikes the ego like a sword of most people who loves to grab everything their craving is begging of them. Most of us do not want to hear message as this for it conforms us to TRUTH of God... I have seen many people who profess their faith in Christ yet not willing to give up EVERYTHING just to stay in HIS presence. AND THAT IS NOT CHRISTIANITY!!! IT IS EGOCENTRICITY!!

I once had revelation. I saw light of heaven. It was so beautiful that to see it again, I would pay ANYTHING. Just to see it one more tim for few seconds. Yet God gave us not only the light which is so beautiful that I was so overjoyed I cried. But also Eternal Life in heaven.

There's a lot of truth in what John is saying, but I wouldn't put healing into the prosperity Gospel. And also - most of the times that the word "suffering" is used in the New Testament - it's reffering to suffering for the sake of the Gospel, not for the sake of suffering. Let's give our lives to Jesus, serve others, give our lives to others - this will be the biblical suffering. Let's find truth, don't choose etween unhealthy extreme and another unhealthy extreme.

I watch this and I subscribe and I’m the 667th sub. It’s ironic and symbolic, I almost died 4 weeks ago In a hospital due to incorrect meds. They worked on my unconscious body for over an hour and they were gonna give up and I lived anyways. I was saved and I have nothing. No money. No diploma. No car and my life is in physical shambles but I feel the most peace I’ve ever had. I came back to God after 5 years of atheism like TST level atheism. His plan is never finished and I am a testimony of that. Now I am the 667th sub. Its a funny coincidence with a powerful message.

That's the crux of the argument. To Prosperity Christians, God is now what He's always been, a God of Prosperity, provided we remain righteous in His sight. He rewards, then and now, devotion with prosperity. That's the whole idea. And it's in THIS context that we're to understand Jesus' mission of reconciliation. Somewhere along the line, a more abstract concept of God became established among some Christians. And although this concept appeals to me, it's harder to justify in Biblical terms.

Another thing paul says in this chapter, that your plenty will supply their need and their plenty will supply your need. How does that work in business? A man creates a product, it is a success, he grows into a large company, He needs manpower and employees to help run it. So he hires people who need money to buy shelter, food ,clothes, etc. They are equally trading their work helps the man run his company which allows him to sell more, and he gives them a paycheck for their labors

I don't like loss. I don't like suffering. I complain to God about these things but it is what I have known throughout my life! Yet I know that Jesus is the only way to God, even though my flesh doesn't like the current situation. Oh that I could praise Him more during these trying times. Oh that I was that strong in Him and could trust Him more. It is miserable feeling so horribly guilty when I complain.

Jesus Christ loves the poor, but prosperity "preachers" despise the poor because they have nothing to cheat them out of.. Jesus considered the poor woman's offering, which was the smallest, to be the greatest because it was everything she had. 👑

Seed-Faith-Giving by Mark E. Smith It all started with a statement from my young son; "Dad, I need a new bicycle. Mine's too small." His unspoken question was insinuated but as clear as daylight on that bright summer day in the mid-1980s. Some of you readers whom are old enough should remember the beginning of the "Seed-Faith-Giving" message in Christian circles, which by then had gotten well off the ground and had become a common theme from behind the pulpits of pastors and evangelists alike...especially the televangelists. The message was meant to get you to give them more money and to give it more often. I heard Kenneth Copeland say that Oral Roberts started the message. But Robert Tilton made a show of it, bringing in more than $80,000,000 per year at it's peak, according to Wikipedia. My son's obvious request made me consider the price of a decent, used bicycle or what I would have to spend for a new one, but the outcome was the same; there just wasn't enough money. So, I suggested what numerous preachers had been suggesting for years. That's right, I suggested "seed-faith-giving," the message coming from behind pulpits, radio broadcasts, TVs, books and recorded audio seemingly as often as the message to pray was. It certainly, even today is being preached much more than "fasting" and "how the judgement of God works." Well, I suggested to my son that he take the bicycle that he did have (the one too small for him), clean it well, then find a young boy in his neighborhood to give it to. His giving the bike away, as a "planted seed", I instructed, would bring about a "harvest," meaning that he could expect God to somehow give him at least as nice of a bicycle than the one he'd "planted." So he did. My son believed me as I had believed all those preachers I had heard for years. My son gave the bicycle to a little boy in his neighborhood, and when my son's mother found out about it, she went through the roof. My son got yelled at. I got yelled at. The whole experience was blowing up in my face and I became confused. The end result became that my son took the bike back from the little boy to whom he had given it, and I went to a private place to yell at God. I wound up in a small room just inside the back door of the church I then had been frequenting. Everyone involved with my son's and my seed-faith-giving venture was upset, and it caused me to doubt even my motive for believing the message and suggesting it to my son to begin with. What happened left me completely in the dark. The confusion turned into frustrated anger, which turned into sadness and disappointment. As I prayed from my place in a small, dark closet, I began to weep. Then I began to cry like a sobbing child. After many tears, I saw a real, open, Godly vision; like those one reads about in the Bible. What I saw was a large curtain. It opened to reveal another large curtain just behind it. Behind that second curtain, I saw a throne, and upon this throne sat One as bright as the sun. From head to toe, blindingly aluminous, sat He Who shined. On a throne to His right hand side sat One Who's face shined as the Being He sat beside. It was indescribably beautiful. The Light was bright to say the least, and I could not look upon He Who shined. The whole of my attention was uncontrollably drawn to He Who sat at His right hand side. His face, He Who sat on the right, was shadowed as an eclipse, because the Light was too much for my eyes to take. He said to me with authority, "The seed-faith-giving message is not from Me." When the open vision was over and my heart was written upon, I came out of the whole experience with one simple message. To plant a seed makes the farmer to own the seed. To give a gift makes the receiver of the gift to own the gift. Hear what the Spirit is saying..."A seed sown is a gift given in greed. A gift given is a seed sown in love." It is simple. We need to stop planting seeds. Instead, we need to give gifts. We need to transfer ownership of those gifts to whom or Whom we give them. Have you noticed that when preachers want you to plant seeds of this amount or that amount into the ministry, that that particular preacher refers to his or her particular ministry? How many preachers preach that you need to plant a seed into other ministries? By the way, if your favorite TV preacher is trying to get you to "pant seeds" into his or her ministry, you need to flip the channel. You need to watch something else. Those who want your money aren't interested as much in your harvest as they are your "seeds".Boost Post

And so - the prosperity approach fails to work for those who don't have it spiritually dialed-in right. We got to understand it from the inside and judge it fairly. Don't overlook the risks that prosperity Christians take in Christ. Many risk bankruptcy each month - giving to the church whatever the pastor asks. And each month God bails them out of financial disaster in some miraculous way. It takes sheer guts in Christ to go the prosperity route - and to do it right. I respect them for that.

For my freedom is in Christ, I have helped in mission shelters and in poor houses and yes I have shared the word of God, whether people choose to except it or not is out of my power, but looking at the suffering of the TRUE poor person in America, based off of government stealing. I have resolved that something of this injustice must be abolished. Jesus is the best gift I can give them, but I want to give these people a chance to be able to prosper. I don't know how you did it - but you got through to him. : ) And it is Biblical. A prosperity preacher can work you through it - at length and in detail. It's in fact the most Biblically well-founded approach to worship I know. I don't feel called to it - but I've learned to respect it on all levels.

Exodus 23:26 “your women will never be barren nor miscarry”

That is worldly way of earning money. God told us to live by God, to not worry about things and chase after things unbelievers do.

It is in my deepest pain and sorrow that the test of true faith shines through. Anyone will serve God if it means riches. As the riches fade, faith is lost... It was never faith in God at all. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away... Will you stand with Him then? When you have lost everything and your life is but your next breath, will you love Him then? True people of faith find their complete sufficiency when they have been driven to the end of themselves. When you have nothing of your own to deliver you, you drop to your knees for you KNOW who is your provider! You praise God for His goodness and look to Him for your deliverance. Through this life your faith will be tested and the dross will be removed. In the end... You will have been conformed to the image of His Son according to your destiny as sons and daughters of the Most High. It is because of the darkness, because of the pain, that the Light appears most glorious... For, what is the sweetness of honey had you never tasted wormwood? What is light to your eyes if you have never been in darkness? It is because of the contrast that we can lift our eyes and say "praise GOD!". And all His people say "AMEN".

Never will this world dominate the importance of the eternal realm but your interests and jobs are a part of God's design of you. So to honor Him, you must work in your vocation to the best of your abilities, growing it, prospering in it, giving glory and honor to God for your merits and your failures. It is a testimony and a way to make yourself blameless from your persecutors, so that no one can say you were idle and lazy, and that is what the world will do to try and discredit us.

We will leave it all behind when we pass (or experience the Rapture) and then we will stand before GOD and have to give an account of what we did for HIM, not what HE did for us.

You're welcome. Eternity is a great concern and our most focused subject of all time while we're still here. It should be the only thing that's going in our mind, and everything else to follow. To put majority of our mind and thought into something that is nothing next to eternity is precarious and costly decision.

All that verse really means is not to have security of your life in form of money, but rather in trust of God that your soul will be saved. That to treat "your" temporary things as though they are not.

I can see this is happening not only in America, Asia and Africa but also in the other part of America...South America...at least in Colombia it's happening.

yes and no I was referring to the fact that he was trying to use that verse over and over again yet he cant explain to me why he has those things if they are of the earth. People get confused that the ideas you have to make a product or your job is a calling and a gift from God, and His gift should be reason enough for you to excel in your vocation and prosper. Your vocational calling is apart of God's design for your life.

did you know though that America has been the primary source of all missionaries for the true gospel for the past 200 years, spiritual freedom has definitely proven that the message of Christ will flourish. there will always be false doctrines it is something we as Christians must rise above and teach the true gospel that following Jesus is the only way to heaven, of course making money is not sinful, but God is most pleased when we worship him regardless of what pain we are enduring
