One of the best I have ever watched,
@GoodOldDaysGaming

An hour and a half, and not one single "like" in between words. Rather, pauses to collect, followed by a carefully woven thought with use of complex vocabulary. You watch men like this speak, and the stupidity of your every day stands out like a sore thumb. Sure, he rambles a lot, but it is intensely interesting. I particularly liked his thoughts on charisma and depression & anxiety.

I've had very little experience with hearing John Rhys-Davies speak, mostly as Gimli from Lord of the Rings and the narrator from Quest for Glory 4, but this was a delight to listen to.

I love how he pours his heart out and talks about acting and coming out of your shell and the first comment is "did you like lord of the ring?" Then he's forced to do Gilmi impressions.

"Excalibur" one of the very few great fantasy movies in movies history. I m glad that J. Boorman couldnt made what he aimed at then. He wanted to film "The Lord of the Rings" then but he ended with no money for LOTR, and with some locations and used the locations to film Excalibur :)

What I liked about Sliders was the idea, travelling to other dimensions via a vortex (even if most of the stories were rather weak due to the writers running low on imagination). But what kept you watching was the chemistry between the actors, it's what kept the show interesting, no matter how absurd each episode became. The episode with the talking flame must have been an idea from the mentally handicapped. Even the actors were pretending to be overly excited about communicating with this talking flame. In the end you could see that John pretty much gave up trying to give an explanation as the show went on. What is there left to do but to laugh at the writers 🤷. And Kromaggs? Why not extraterrestrials like the Greys 👽? Something more believable. Only they would come in peace to aid them through the troubled world's they visit.

"Inteligence and knowledge are not enough". We must add judgment. But todays society tell us not to be judgmental, to not judge becouse its not proper. Becouse anything should be tolerated and tolerable. No, not everything should be tolerated and tolerable. We must chose between better and worse things, and it is judgment. I think judgment is highly proper if we consider any progress in any topic. Progress in our personal lives and progress in any society. We cannot progress in any topic if we are not supposed to judge other people and other ideas. Thats one of the things we must learn if we consider ourselves as adults. Children are not supposed to make many judgments becouse of their young age. With the ageing we are making more and more judgments. If the society or ideology tell us that we should not judge, then I guess that such society or ideology try to make us children once more, return us to our childish state of little dose of judgments. Such society or ideology are not only weak becouse of their purpose of making children form adults, such society or ideology are also wrong and tragic, and false. Our doom, our fate as human beings is to make choises. Hopefuly more free than not free. And before making any choice we must make judgment of the topic - which thing we like better, which is better and which is worse - or even evil. Dont be afraid to use the word "evil" - most of politics and ideology is evil. :) The society or ideology which tell you - "dont make judgments" doesnt like you at all, desnt like your free choices at all. And all it wants is for you to be returned to child's state, it doesnt want you to be adult! An adult with free will and free choice.

Criticise is one thing but the far right use stereotypes and general moronic brain dead arguments. I mean you guys believe in something called "white genocide".
@leo333333able

...still Islam is an ideology and all ideas must be criticised. We should never be deterred from being critical of an idea for fear of being called 'racist'.
@leo333333able
@leo333333able 7 лет назад
I don't believe this guy [John] said 'all Muslims are terrorists' .... find me that quote. All we've said is that it's ok to criticise Islam, that it is good to criticise all ideas in order that they are improved ...do you disagree with that?

Please study the history of the civilizational impact of Islam in the world - Africa, Europe, and Asia before commenting about the religion and its practitioners.

He has the right to disagree and criticize the ideology. Also, yes, Islam can form an ethnic group, but not a racial one. Similarly, Christianity is also an ideology that is criticized. It is illegal and Christians are prosecuted in many Muslim countries.
