This might be a surprising association, but I can't help but hear Dave Brubeck's Blue Rondo A La Turk! It's in 9/8, but there's an uncanny similarity!

When was this composed? I hear lots of progressive rock and jazz influences, most noticeably Keith Emerson and Dave Brubeck
