John Schneider actually lives in a little town in Louisiana about 20 miles from where I live. He is just a regular guy, friendly and does not act like some big shot.
I remember when my dad would sing this and we thought the show was coming one and we'd run downstairs to watch it only to find out it was our dad! He was such a great guitar player and a fabulous singer. My sister took after him in that aspect. I miss my daddy!
I met John Schneider about 10 years ago. I worked in a casino and from time to time work with celebrities. Out of all the celebrities I've had to work with, John is by far one if the nicest, sincere, and respectful celebrities I've worked with. I remember watching him interact with his fans and and really blown away by how much he was enjoying interacting with them and just a very nice person. I'll always remember that about him.
@@79tazman He did work on the show "The Rifleman", as well as "The Andy Griffith Show"...Before he was ever Jesse Duke. Great actor, he's just one of those guys that I could tell he be super nice in person. May he rest in peace.
There's a quote by Uncle Jesse where he says, 'A stranger is just a Friend I Haven't Met Yet." I try to have that mind-set wherever I am. Of course I use Tact. I love that quote or line to the very depths of my soul. I think we could all take the time to get to know each other on a civil and respectful level. Who's with me?
I agree! It's beyond sad that we go to war with other countries with useless deaths on both sides and then we all become friends. Why can't that happen to begin with? I think that God put us in the body he wanted us in and it could very well have been of a different color, nationality, gender or whatever. People should love one another!!
Them Duke boys singing the theme. Makes them Legendary in my book! Gives that old feeling of being a good ole kid back in the 80’s 21’s been kind of a bummer with all the bs going on. This made me feel better. “Look away, look away Dixieland. And that Ronnie dude... can kiss my ass! Lol🙂 80’s RULE!!!!!
These guys are so multi talented just incredible voices. Unpretentious just having a good time with the performance and entertaining and making people feel good. I miss actors and singers like these guys. Now we are left with garbage.
Man I watched that show all the time in the 80's, right up there with Knight Rider (my 2 favorites). I had the large 1/18 scale toys of KITT and the General Lee, which came with the plastic mud ramp. I loved being a kid in the 80's.
Me too!being a kid in the 80,s was awesome!I had the General Lee Big Wheel and Hot Wheels car!man wish i still had them both!jumped too many dirtpiles with them!lol
I have a picture of me at like 5, stuck at some lame gymnastics thing or something of my older sisters, holding that exact same Dukes car. Long live the 80's.
Loved this! Brought me back to my youth. Greatest show on television. All the characters were great and well cast but it was Sorrel Booke as Boss Hogg and James Best as Roscoe who made this show. Ill never forget moving to Georgia how disappointed I was finding out there was no Hazzard County. Great times as a kid back then
Saw John at Dukefest 2008 and he and Tom were a huge part of my childhood. I grew up wanting to be like these guys. Making their way the only way they how. Faith, Family, Respect, and fighting the system. 👍🏼🙌🏼🙏🏼☝🏼 Sadly, they don’t make shows like this anymore. Thankful for the memories!
When the dukes of hazzard were on the TV me and all the kids in the street would be watching them and as soon as the show had finished we'd all jump on our bicycles and play DUKES OF HAZZARD on the bikes!those were great days that I'll never forget 😉
I still have an LP copy of John Schneiders' 1981 solo album, Now or Never, LOL. I just checked his discography, as I thought it was a one hit wonder, and I was surprised to learn that he has a dozen albums-including a damn Christmas album! F**K me!
I'm 59 y.,o. now with a `10 y.o. son and 6 y.o. daughter; just played the DoH theme song for my son and he set it as the ring tone for when I call him so he knows it's me calling. The 70s and 80s were the best years of my life and DoH was a huge part of that time in my life. I had my picture taken at the Iowa State Fair in 1978 alongside the General Lee and a cute little girlfriend. Unfortunately, the picture is long gone but the memories remain. Thanks for sharing this video. Long live the General Lee, the innocence of youth, and the Confederate flag!
Wow. They nailed it! It’s so nice to see them embracing their characters rather than being ashamed of them. I never understand actors that don’t even what to speak about or have anything to do with the role that made them famous.
Very happy childhood memories of watching dukes of Hazzard ❤. I was too young to appreciate how handsome Waylon was 😂 but Bo ❤❤definitely 😂. At 51 myself now...I can say all 3 of these men...and Enos..so cute❤😂. Thank you for the memories to smile forever about ❤
As a matter of fact the two duke boys still do sing country songs together on road tours!!! They do this for fun. If you remember cooter he became a real pollation as a member of the house of repacenitives, who are the people in the White house that have the soul power to remove any US president from office and from the White House through an inpeachment!!! I kid you not.😲
I was a little Mexican Kid that would stay up to watch the Dukes of Hazard! On Friday nights! That show was a great show.. and the general Lee was my favorite car!!
I loved them on The Dukes of Hazzard. I fangirled after I met Tom after a show in a country bar and he said that I was a great dancer and that he loved my hair 😂😂😂
People are too sensitive for something like that somehow the video would have gone viral and they would have gotten so much negativity because of what is happening now it would have gotten badly misconstrued
@@hennessyviper You do realize this was filed in 1993? Before "cancel culture" was even a thought. That being said, show the General anyway! Stars and Bars! These little kids nowadays need to get over themselves and stop being offended every time the wind blows!
@@southerngirl6398 yeah I understand that but you know typically when a video comes out from years ago it can cause the person or persons to get backlash
Back in 1987 in Oklahoma, there was a salvage yard that had a faded rusty general lee for a thousand bucks ,man I should of had my dad by it ,probably was on the show
I loved Ralph Emery and Nashville Now and the old TNN network and the Dukes of Hazzard....... I’ll tell you as well I’m a Northerner from Cleveland and 41 years old. The days of my youth. Great memories.
I used to watch The Dukes of Hazzard and I could not STOP watching it when I was younger! I loved John Scheider! I had a very HUGE crush on him and the character he played! He still looks very good looking 🎤🎸❤💯👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I had the fortune to meet John Schneider at Laguna Seca Raceway (Monterey County, CA) back in the late 80s while working as a sheriff explorer cadet. He drove up to a controlled intersection in a classic car (a Mustang, if I recall correctly) and was extremely friendly and down-to-earth. We were not allowed to ask celebrities for their autograph, but on his return, he stopped, talked to us, and offered his autograph before leaving. I preserve it to this day. I only wish cell phones had been around then to take a photograph. He's a good man!
People didn’t carry cameras in their pocket like they do cell phones now. You only had your camera on you if you were going somewhere you knew you were going to intentionally take pictures. My guess is you’re too young to remember life before cell phones lol
This was great. Well thought out and sung by both. Great as they came into together and then speeded it up. They should do it on a record of some type. lots of hits here. Canada loves the Duke boys and these guys.
WOW! Great duet ! Both can SING REAL COUNTRY! Actually I saw Tom Wopat at Knotts Berry Farm do his country gig in the early 1980s he was really talented. Great to see Schneider in top form!
I just Googled recent pics of Catherine Bach and she's nowhere near 400lbs. Sorry she's no longer a 20 something with legs up to her armpits but she's still a beautiful woman. F'ing men. 🙄
You good ole boys keep getting better and better. So handsome. My son grew up never missed a show ( Dukes of Hazard.) John love you on Haves N Have Nots. Love to you both. ❤ ❤
First, that i'm 48, this made me so happy. This was my boyhood! Secondly, i'm from Houston. Been everywhere almost, especially in the U.S. All is good but the south is great. Can go outside all year. Food is out of this world down south. Our beaches are fantastic. But most importantly, ALL people in the south get along better than most. We really love and cherish each other in true neighborly spirit. God bless the "Duke boys" and all that read my comments.🙏👍😁
