I feel bad for John. He lost a son, his wife Kelly Preston a few years back. Then he loses his two close friends this year, Olivia Newton -John and now Kirstie Alley. RIP.

I was also surprised to see how unassuming and humble John Travolta seemed to be. He had been on with Johnny Carson in the early 80s and I think he took Johnny by surprise. At that time he was a superstar but so unassuming. Remarkable! A very rare combination.

I can't believe we lost her. She was so present for so long. She was captivating from first time I saw her early 80s, those eyes, hair etc. Her love of animals, her courageous ability to speak out, to speak her mind. Really rare in Hollywood. Why her?
I saw this in my recs and I hesitated for a moment before I clicked on it. I just read of her passing a few hours ago. But it was nice to see her and John in their prime, that's how I want to remember her. The Johnny Carson channel is a good way to memorialize people, although it makes me sad to see the times I lived in slowly fading away they will live on indefinitely here on youtube.
What I enjoy watching is how Johnny Carson knows to shut up and let the guests talk. Oh - he’ll react and ask follow-up questions, but the real talent is letting the personalities reveal themselves. In this case, their obvious chemistry - combined with Kirstie’s recent passing is both entertaining and moving.

What does "beautiful gorgeous" mean? I'm aware of beautiful and gorgeous and know their meanings but they would only correctly be listed as "...a beautiful, gorgeous woman..." or "...a beautiful and gorgeous woman..." if that's how they were meant. Also, why are so many words in your comment capitalized even though they're not proper nouns or the beginnings of sentences? And why did you say "Rip"? Do you mean Rest In Peace? Wouldn't abbreviating that be done with capitals and likely periods? Finally, how does that comma between two independent clauses rightfully combine them?
I was shocked when I heard Kirstie passed yesterday , I had no idea she even had cancer. Cheers was one of my favorite shows back in the day , R.I.P!!!
It's always weird to find out about a death long after it happened. I found out about Ralphie May's death about a year after it happened & was so bummed.
