Car Connoisseur Nice man, you're gonna love it, phenomenal show. I was shocked at the sheer quality from a regular tv channel, this could easily pass for an HBO show.
Lol yea it was pretty cool! I mean a lot of my friends before they seen it was bias because of Cuba playing OJ Myself Included but Our Opinion soon Changed lol
Cortney B. Vance and Sarah Paulson should both win the Emmys for best actor and actress in a drama. If not, I'm going to protest and burn down my neighborhood.
I thought the same thing, they were both outstanding, gave the two best performances out of the show by far. But seriously, if Sarah especially doesn't win an Emmy, that's just be a tragedy right there.
John Travolta is...weird. However, I must say, his ACTING in the People v. OJ was absolutely spectacular. To say it was impressive is an understatement, and it's criminal that he wasn't nominated for an acting award for this.
@@NxDoyle I thought the same thing when I first saw it, but I felt he improved as the show progressed. Was his performance perfect? Not by any stretch, simply because it got off to a really bad start. But it was pretty good for what it was all the same.
Just finished watching the whle series (not binged). Courtney is absolutely STELLAR. Never once was I convinced that there was someone playing Cochran; it was as though the real Cochran was in the series!
Cant wait to see it Cochran was my idol growing up lol Hey what can I say other than I wanted to be a lawyer lol Anyway I hope he is as good as you sau he is
Watched the full thing on Netflix . One of the best shows I’ve ever watched. Every episode was brilliant . Looked back over all the old real footage of the case and all the actors done so well you really believed they were playing their parts perfectly . Don’t usually get hooked on tv shows but this one had me front when first episode .:)
@@HyunlixHearts if you’re in the UK check out the BBC’s true story of a 1970’s serial killer called ‘The Serpent’ . Everyone I know binge watched all 8 episodes. If not, keep an eye out for it’s future release on Netflix . It’s riveting 👍.
Completely agree everybody was absolutely phenomenal. I'm on my fourth time through watching it right now and my girlfriend has never seen it so we're watching it together and we're about halfway through
LOVED Vance. He was incredible. And I know Travolta's performance as Robert Shapiro was polarizing, but I thought he was absolutely fantastic. Shapiro was a bit of an eccentric, and Travolta nailed it. I'll always have a soft spot for Vincent Vega.
I'm not going to lie, I figured this series would suck. I also didn't care much about the OJ trial, haven't lived through it back then. Even 20+ years later, I had heard enough. But I decided to watch this on NF last week, and it was absolutely fantastic. The acting was top notch all the way around.
I wouldn't say it was just because he found religion. That doesn't automatically mean there's no hope. His particular choice of religion, however, is a problem. But bigger than that, his acting, his personality on stage, has lacked severely in the last few decades and I would love to see a flick that he touches on his old self a little. He doesn't seem to truly enjoy his life any more, or maybe age has taken its toll, I don't know. Maybe it is all because of the religion, I don't know the guy personally I just want another fun Travolta movie lol.
***** It could certainly be argued over the reason for the choice of parts, but I could definitely agree that he can/could act but ends up in awful roles and movies these days; more often than not, unfortunately.
+Metalmanmick13 no he found himself COS. He has been Scientologist for something like twenty years. My guess he wants out but he is trapped. Either that or is drove him nutty
If you pay attention everytime vance touches his arm is because travolta is about to interupt so instead of say something he just toucjes him and then travolta lets him finish and then goes on to what he was gonna say
Right?! Sterling K Brown is a phenomenal actor. What fascinated me most about his performances is the amount of scenes which showed his face close up, and you could quite literally see the emotions shift in his eyes. That is true acting right there.
John Travolta might be, at his core, one of the most deeply uncool people in Hollywood. I mean he had TWO separate periods where he was the coolest person in the world thanks to the characters he played (Saturday Night Fever/Grease and then Pulp Fiction) and both times he managed to lose it
They were all good…Travolta played an excellent Shapiro as well. My favorite part was when he walked in the courtroom wearing the police solidarity pin. Lol
I thought this was a great interview!! I am so happy John is back to work and making friends and that he is looking good! Stephen really let these guys steal the show and talk about what it took to make this show. p.s., The People vs. O.J. Simpson is a REALLY good docu-series.
not just hair but the sides of his face are plastic and stiff with the hair piece glued on no doubt, you can see the joins. Half of him is a wax dummy.
It’s interesting reading all the derogatory comments about John Travolta wearing a wig and makeup. Nobody says anything when Hollywood women have makeup and wigs/hair extensions. What’s the difference?
I appreciate the smart questions and the serous effort from Colbert on the subject. I suggest leaving politics and president alone, your alienating potential larger audience.
Please upvote this so that someone will please tell Travolta to out Scientology and save the families that are suffering from the Church's oppression and extortion.
John Travolta is a legend... but only Courtney B. Vance could give me an emotional 1 on 1 with O.J. Simpson giving an inspiring speech... to someone who more than likely murdered 2 people, and yet STILL feel powerful. OJ: "We lost that game" Cochran: "I don't remember that."
I wonder if they will use Johnnie's closing statements in this mini series "And so you have to remember, when you're in that jury room deliberatin' and conjugatin' the Emancipation Proclamation, does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense! If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests." Quite legendary.
Pretty much everyone in this cast was amazing. The only nitpicks for me was the guy playing Mark Furman looked too young and Cuba Gooding. Love Cuba Gooding, but he just doesn't seem like OJ to me. Like go find an interview with OJ and compare him to Cuba's OJ. It's like two wayyy different people.
+2Lucid I actually think he looks pretty good here, that must be some heavy make up he wears on the show. I'm not saying he didn't do plastic surgeries, but he looks much better here than in the show.
Paulson did a great job. Thought it was Marcia Clark. Kris Kardashian almost broke up with her husband over this murder--she was close friends with Simpson's wife and knew she was an abused wife.
Leave it up to Americans to celebrate actors who reenact lawyers who got a murderer off free. Instead of celebrating the lives of Nicole Brown and Rodney Coleman. They are the ones who should be remembered and celebrated not Travolta and others.
+Jmac Shidane Well, what is fascinating for Americans is also fascinating for the rest of the world...since they supply the world with movies, music, style and culture in general. The U.S is like that cooler older bro u look up to...u may hate him, but u sure envy them in a way.
Courtney doesn’t have any personal space boundaries 🤣 Which is okay, cause it’s him. But who knows if John Travolta is chill with him breathing down his neck
No clips or Johnny Cochran I wanna call racist but I love Stephen so damn much I just can't. However there needed to be a clip of Cochran especially since you got the guy playing him in the hot seat.
